  1. Change to read SWB liner in good condition in/near AL.
  2. 2 Cherokees 1 Grand Cherokee (Don't remember model years, all sold/traded in) 88 MJ sold 91 MJ keeper
  3. Can't find chrome bolts, Don?
  4. Looking for a SWB liner in good condition with tailgate cover. Prefer under rail style (if they were made that way) but will take over the rail style.
  5. Before I replaced the downpipe on my 88 I had a bad leak at the manifold. I used a tape like muffler wrap from Advance Auto to wrap the whole joint and then wrapped wire around it to keep it from blowing out before it got hot enough to seal. Worked well but really smelled bad while it was cooking off. I'd say try the wrap and cover it with some sheet metal (beer or soda can) and use radiator hose clamps or wire to hold it in place. Won't look pretty but should help you get past inspection.
  6. Dang! I guess I missed the drama. And it happens so rarely on here.
  7. Good one, eh!
  8. I think I'll make an offer on the 89 with the V-6. Must have been a very limited edition. Has to very valuable to a true MJ collector.

    Memorabilia

Yep, that's the dyno. Lee definitely knows his stuff and it's not just Jeeps - practically anything domestic or foriegn. Did a good bit of round track racing and engine building, too. He's also a turbine rated commercial pilot who has flown transatlantic.

You got that right! When he moved to the "new" building I sold him a water pump for the dyno. Writing the check was an emotional time for him.

    Memorabilia

Lee was a more than a little vague about that part.

    Memorabilia

If I remember correctly, Lee told me that the factory told him to have it crushed but he kept negotiating until he was able to acquire it. Brought it out to the air show at Bessemer one year and ripped off a few runs down the runway late one evening. That little yellow sucker will flat burn up the tires.
  13. The guy in Atlanta posted the same photos for an 88 and an 89 with different prices and mileages? Another one (or two) for "Craigslist, you so crazy".
  14. Good looking MJ! Somebody on here should have a wheel for you. I'm staking out my local P&P to find a set of four to match my spare.
  15. Always wanted one of them there camanches with a Blaser motor, but the closest I could get was a stock Comanche
  16. It would be a little easier to text him if he'd left a number.
  17. Winnemucca and Redmond would possibilities if I was in the market, but too far away to really consider. Some of the rest are ok, some have no idea what they're trying to sell (camanchee?, only six made for the US?, etc.) If I used the condition vs price ratio some of these guys used I'd be asking $20,000 for mine (IF I were selling) and Don's would be worth about $50K.
  18. Fool tore up a nice F350 in the process of trying to kill himself. Would have killed some people if the truck had been occupied.
  19. You should never pay that much for an MJ - unless, of course, you're buying mine. Then $8K to $10K would be perfectly in order.

    My new car...

He probably wasn't at much risk with that 2500 HD sitting behind him as a shield. I would assume he took the photo to document the position of his vehicle for insurance purposes. Bet he took a photo of the other vehicle, too. Here in Alabama they say move it out of the roadway if ithere are no injuries. Not sure what the rules are in Colorado about moving vehicles prior to the arrival of law enforcement, so can't really say that what he did was right or wrong. I'd lean toward it being right in his mind as he lives there and should know the rules, he was at the scene of the accident and we weren't, and it's his new car that just got creamed. I'm glad you and your wife are OK, Airspeed. At 3,700 miles they should replace it.
  21. Sent you a PM yesterday.
  22. Young couple moves to a new town and starts looking for a church. They visit several, agree on one and go to speak to the pastor about joining. He tells them that in order to join the church they will have to read the Bible every day for 30 days and abstain from sex for the same time. The third Sunday the pastor asks them how they're doing. The husband tells him they've been reading the Bible morning and evening. He says "That's good, but how are you doing on the sex issue?" Husband replies "We were doing really good until yesterday. My wife had on a short skirt and no panties. She bent over to look at something and I just lost all control". The pastor said "I'm sorry but you can't come to church here". And the husband said "Yeh, and we can't go back to Home Depot either".
  23. That's exactly where I relocated 2 of them on the 88 I had. Hardest part was getting out from behind the bumper!
