  1. I picked up an '88 2wd a few weeks ago. It needed a bad tune-up, but I got it home under its own power. I got it running good, it shifts good, it stops good. I thought I got a great deal on it seeing as I paid $250 and a case of beer, but when I pulled the bench and flooring I quickly realized what I had got myself into...It's pretty well rusted. What I need help on is deciding a) Is it worth fixing? and b) How do I go about fixing it if it is worth it? I'd love to 4x4 swap this truck as I see a lot of potential, but I can't see the sense in putting my time and money into it if it's too far gone. Thanks in advanced.
  2. For those who have the sunroof, and installed themselves, were there any problems with installing? And is it as rewarding as I think it will be?
  3. For a few days I have thrown around the idea of putting a removable sunroof in my MJ, and today i picked up a nice one used. Has anyone seen or tried this? If so, how did it turn out?
  4. Are there any buckets that will just drop in? I don't mind a little fabrication but I'd rather have the ease of plug-n-play
  5. I have recently found a 1997 Cherokee for parts that I can pick up very cheap, buy first I wanted to make sure I could use enough off of it for my 1988 MJ Sportruck. I would want to use the seats, console, window motors for power windows, instrument cluster. Etc...So my question is what can be switched over to use?
  6. Those ideas all sound good but I think I'll go ahead and just fix the brake!!
  7. So I drove my 1988 Comanche SporTruck 5 speed manual to a friends house that lives on a hill and went to put the parking break on and found that it is shot. I thought "no problem, I'll just put it in gear for now." I quickly found out that no matter the gear I was in it would still roll down the hill, I eventually had to chock the front wheels...thoughts?
  8. I am not getting any continuity to either speaker, it makes me think I might have a pinched or cut wire somewhere between the head unit and the speakers
  9. So here's an update: I have no power getting to either of the rear speakers. Does anyone know of a fuse for just the speakers? At this point my only option is to re-run all new speaker wires from the head unit back...
  10. Also, what size speakers are in the back of my truck? They are square. 1988 Sportruck
  11. Ok thank you both very much!
  12. Sorry I'm very new to this forum, it's a 1988.
  13. I recently got myself an 88 Sportruck Comanche and I need to wire in a radio since there was not one in it. There was no stock connector just 13 wires that were cut. The colors are as followed: Black, Red/Pink, Violet/Orange, Blue/White, Black/Yellow, Orange/Black, Brown/White, Brown, Green/White, Green, another black, a White, and a white/black wire. My problem is I know the power, ground, and accessory, but not the speaker wires. I've tried three separate radios with several tries and no sound from any wire.
