Love this decal. Fixed it for you. I'm with the rest on this. It's way easier to get it now and figure out how big of a issue it'll be later on.

'Cuz racetruck. Tried to start this one today but it decided it's not done with its winter nap just yet. I knew the alternator wasn't charging last year, but now I think the fuel pump crapped out. Got a question for everyone following this thread too that I'm hoping isn't going to disappoint what with all the hype from time to time. What are some opinions on paint on it? Obviously the '89 series red and blue Archer look would make sense, but the white is really growing on me. Thoughts?

'88 Eliminator... Feb. 2009 - June 2026
neohic replied to neohic's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
Weird... I took the cover off the truck this morning and just let it run for a while. Went looking back at this thread and noticed it was one year ago TODAY that I did the same thing. On another note, I've been thinking about the bumpers on this truck for years now as I've never been really crazy about them. Might try and find some time to fab up something new. Really the only thing holding me back for so long is because of the way I cut the grill and header panel the way I did. :wall: -
Bummer... well, sorta. Wife was offered a new job yesterday. Doesn't make sense to take off for a week after only working there for a month.

At What Point Do You Rebuild Or Replace?

is it because of the pop up roof lights? :D No... it's because of the vinyl wrapped pop up lights. :brows:

Chicago it is!... probably. I know there's plenty of dudes in the IL chapter. What's cool at the end of the road around there? More off the beaten path the better too.

I would totally rock this.

^That.

Been checking that mouse trap everyday since I put it out there and it must've been a change in the weather that did it... this morning I got him. I go out to the truck this morning to go to work and there it was all bug-eyed and frozen. Great!... kind of. The weather warmed up a little throughout the day and by the time I go out after work I notice something just doesn't smell right. UGH!!! Smells like mouse piss. I get home, start looking around the cab, and find that the perfect sun visors that I hadn't got around to putting up weren't so perfect anymore. One is okay... I'm sure the other half of the other one is crammed up in the dash somewhere. :wall:

I remember this truck being for sale at one point. Iowa, right?

Maybe a next year road trip. She's already put the smack down on heading north again as she "doesn't want to go up there just to bring back Jeep parts". :shake: Really leaning towards WI/IL... mostly because I'm not sure she's fully aware of the potential of finding Jeep stuff. :D

Last year we made it as far as Silver Bay.

Rear Disc Brake Conversion D44
neohic replied to xjrev10's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Sorry I left you hangin' all day! :D Here's a thread I keep coming back to when it comes to DISKS ON A 44. Not much for new parts, but the bearing retainers is talked about with dealer part numbers. -
Naw... She saw right through that when I made the suggestion of Duluth again. That's not to say that I don't have at least a few irons in the fire when it comes to those guys though. Currently it's just tying up loose ends on some old business. Been a while since I really soaked up some VW roots so I'm really due. Plans are looking like heading to the other side of the state on Sunday, June 1st for the big MN VW show and then... :dunno:

Looking for some ideas from my Midwest homies. The wife and I always go and do something fun for our anniversary at the beginning of June. It's been a few years since we've hit up the VW show in the MN Metro area so we'd like to hit that up on June 1st. Otherwise we're looking to fill a week or so worth of road trip awesomeness and we're not looking to venture too far from MN. Not picky... Open for opinions... Keep in mind though that we're folksy people who aren't really into anything too fast paced. Been looking at going to the Chicagoish area for a while now. Maybe this is a good time? What's out there? What's some cool stuff to do? Thoughts? 1-2-3-GO!!!

Have a look around MN-Jeep.com also. -
... but seriously, don't be kickin' Mr. Skinner.

Seems as though I'm a minimalist. Everyday it goes wallet, keys on the clip, keys for whatever vehicle I drive that day (each has its own cattle tag based off of year of manufacture), and my chunky rubber phone.

Needs longer shackles.
-
Oh, yeah!... I forgot about this! I think I would be safe to assume what with the date this was all started, but...

Really depends on what state you're in along with how much is produced per year. Selling is where things get dicey. :peek:
