So did some pretty lax wheeling today for a few hours, didnt really @#$% anything up or nothin. Hop on the highway to drive home hit about 48mph+ And the truck starts wobbling out of control, Gets worse the faster i go past 50. So i pull over check everything the best i can without a jack, Limp it to a buddies shop around the corner. Jack up the front end, Check the Track bar (Which i replaced less then a year ago) And its completely solid. No play at all. Check all the tie rod ends / steering linkage. Its all solid, No play in anything. Turn the wheel back and forth and nothing is sloppy (That i noticed at least) Spray off the wheels thinking i might have a chunk of mud throwing me off, Still has a wobble. So i've ran out of things to check atm. Any ideas? Might post up some pics if my phone doesnt die in the process lol

Why not just get a proper MJ AAL and be done with it? They're about the same price as the XJ iirc

Track Bar Removal Question '86 Comanche
Lee21490 replied to Echostrike's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
My first comanche must have had the bolt break off, Because there was a huge gaping torch hole where the Nut used to be, Whoever did it had the ugliest torch skills i've ever seen. But it got the job done, So ohwell. -
Saw this earlier this morning, Was going to post it when i got home, But i guess you beat me to it lol But yea, The peoplein the vid are dumb as $#!&.

1992 Jeep Comanche 4.0 No Start/no Spark
Lee21490 replied to monkbonk's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I'm not sure if this is in the 92, As i have a 95. But check the little circle plastic disk with a wire coming out of it, Under the dist cap. Was the reason i never had spark when i first got my truck. Idr what its called. -
I got really bored.

Name of ep? I'll snag a pic of it and post it. /e Ten seconds of googling later.

Surprisingly around me they've been popping up like wildfire. In the last 6 months alone i've seen at least a dozen + on the road. Including finding out there's one parked two blocks from my house, And a block down from him is a older (not sure what model) Jeep truck, Full lift / etc. Gonna have to get some comanche cards soon lol

Raptor liner looks pretty good, I know a few people on here use it. Eventually when i do mine, It's what i'll use.

I havent had the pleasure of doing this yet. As i'm always super paranoid and tripple check there's nothing left in the engine bay. But i have found at least 6~ wrenches/screw drivers / sockets / etc Between my two comanches, that people had dropped into obscure areas and never bothered to remove. lol

So after a bit of looking, I realized you can't actually adjust it. Ran to the store and got a clamp to shorten it a little over an inch. Now i actually get 100% throttle. And holy jesus does it feel like a new truck.

Airaid Or K&n Intake Air Filter Systems
Lee21490 replied to Keyav8r's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
While we're on the subject of intakes, How much difference does a 63mm~ bored throttle body make for power? -
How the hell do i adjust it? Gas pedal goes to the floor, but only opens the butterfly about 70% :/ Probably something really obvious but i can't seem to find the adjuster. 95 4.0l

Airaid Or K&n Intake Air Filter Systems
Lee21490 replied to Keyav8r's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I thought about that, or the cowl hoods, but I'm someone who just can't bring myself from straying too far from stock look. Plus, with it being the 2.8L I don't feel like spending too much to "improve" it. Previous owner stuck a Holley 2D injection system on it and some Edelbrock stuff, I never would have done that, though it is nice. I was basically broke when i did that. Old stock carb just up and died one day, Had a holley 4 barrel laying around, After adapter plates / etc it wouldnt fit under the hood anymore :rotf: If you look closely you can see the filter sticking through the hood
