So say I just wanted six inches, what would I do if I already have a 3inch? And also my tires get ally he way up into the fender pretty easily so if I got like 3 more inches, it would give me more articulation. Either get new leaf springs @ 6" lift, Or use stock springs with a SOA. If your goal is 35" tires, You'll want at least 5-6" of lift imo. Would 35s fit with a 4.5inch plus I have bigger fender flares that took off about 2 inches of the body? I have a 5.5" lift, With 33's & Bushwhacker cut-out flares, And its a pretty tight fit. 33s @ 4.5 would work with proper bumpstops, But i don't think i'd do 35's without cutting more off the fender, or lifting more.

What is yoke and a slip yoke eliminator. What do they do? The yoke is the part of the drive shaft that goes into the transmission. It has splines & slips in & out of the tranny as your truck flexes. If you lift too much it can make it so it pops out when flexing. Slip Yoke Eliminator replaces the slip yoke.. And is not needed on our Comanches, Unless you're doing a crazy amount of lift.

Rear drum brake to disc brake?
Lee21490 replied to Jackrabbit41's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Could also upgrade to a bigger vacuum booster. Btw we live in the same town! I'm right off Alabama St. We should go wheeling some time. I live in south hill, 17th street. Where do you usually go around here Actually i'm most likely going to Sumas Mt. with a few people this coming saturday. You're more than welcome to join! And to post pics, Upload the pic to a site like Imgur.com & Copy the image link, Click the image icon on the bottom row about half way & paste the image link. I take my quad up there, but is there any jeep trails? Yea, There's actually quite a bit of trails up there. Nothing crazy... But its still fun to go up hit a few trails & Shoot some guns. Not sure about any jeep clubs around here. I know there's one that meets towards seattle fairly often though. -

Hate people that tint their lights. It's stupid, They're there for a reason.

Well i got my pins in the mail today, Ended up having to remove the door to get a good hammer swing... Beat on it for a good 2 hours while heating it, did not budge a single mm... seems like the pin is fine and the hole on the body side of the hinge is ground out.. Not sure where to go from here.. Door sags a good 3~ inches currently and i can barely close it. Cut off the hinge from the body & weld on a new one? Is there a way to use the newer style hinges on our early mj's? :/

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008Y7MYI2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Might be a lil cheaper for shipping there. Mine comes in the mail tomorrow, Hope the old one comes out easily.. By the amount of slack in it, i think it is broke in half lol

Can not for the life of me find a replacment pin for an '86 comanche Mine must have snapped or something, Because i got a bunch of slack in the bottom hinge & My door won't close properly without throwing it as hard as i can. If anyone has a part # or a link, That would be great! Also; whats the easiest way to remove the pin? Bfh? /edit found the door pin after a bunch of googling. Whats the easiest way to get the old one out? Hammer? Or drill? Any tips?

Got the spare & installed it today. The mount holds it solid, Even has a little eye on the bottom of the bolt to put a padlock through -

Installed a Fabtech tire mount earlier today, Decided i should probably get a full size spare before i get stranded at the mountain haha Ordered another 33x12.5 wrangler mt/r, Should get it later this week. Pretty solid tire mount, Only issue is, Like all the reviews say.. The 1" Bolts are pretty useless for installing it, Just gotta pick up longer ones. -
The back spacers don't look very safe.. Unless the pic was taken before you tightened them or something, The nuts look like they're only 25-50% threaded on.
-
I saw this too, They looked damn good! Although it didnt look like they covered much, Seemed almost flat on the fender.
-
You have to cut the fenders to get additional clearance, Even the M-max are cut outs. Napier & Bushwhacker are two other good ones. I have the bushwhackers, No complaints so far.

This thread is over 3 years old.

For a great deal less $$$ You can just do a control-arm drop bracket. It brings your control arms back to around stock angles, And will drive the same on the road as a longarm. Flex's pretty damn well offroad too, And you can always just upgrade to a longarm down the road if you decide to. Beat me to it by seconds lol

Maybe they're confusing it with the jeep v-4

Mine used to be really bad, For some reason when i swapped out my fuel pressure regulator, It quit fluctuating as much.. Still does it.. But now i can actually use my gas gauge.
