Doing a spring over axle in the rear will net you around 5-6" of lift. Unfortunately there is no bolt in SOA axle for the MJ's, Unless you buy one already fabbed on c'list or something. However if you SOA it would be a good time to swap in a 8.8 or dana 44, since you have to re-weld perches anyways.

Got my JKS quicker disconnects today. They were pretty easy to install, Other than a few snags unrelated to the disconnects. Hard to tell in that photo, But the bar the disconnect slides onto, Is about 1/8th of an inch away from the steering stabalizer mount. I guess mine got bent somehow? Had a hell of a time getting it to budge enough that i could put the D/C's on/off without issues. Didn't get an installed photo because my phone died >_< -
You can still get that entire lift setup for damn near the original cost, Just have to google a few minutes.

Forgot to mention, I completely finished my OBA setup. Have a 11 gallon tank in the back -> Check valve -> air hose to the engine bay -> Air filter/oil seperator -> 2~foot braided steel air line -> Few adapters -> AC pump. Put a 90-120psi switch on the tank, With a master switch inside the truck, So far the heat from the engine hasnt caused any issues with the air hoses, Thankfully even if it does the check valve @ the tank will keep me from losing any air. To do list next time it stops raining (Unless someone wants to donate me a shop <3) : Put in steel steering bracket spacer Install JKS quicker disconnects (come tuesday) Take pictures of said OBA setup -

Spent the day messing with my AC compressor, Turning it into a air compressor. Put a 11 gallon tank in my toolbox, With a T one line going to the pump, Other for filling tires/air tools/etc. Didn't quite finish it before the sun went down though. Still need to run the line under the truck, to the pump & etc. Also still need to order some high-temp air hose & a pressure switch. I'll try to get a few pics tomorrow to post. -
If you're just using it for the street, & leave the sway bar on.. I wouldnt worry about the bump stops / brake lines on 3" of lift. You should still be fine on caster too imo. Get an alignment though, & check the print out.

My steering gearbox has been slowly going out over the last few months. Did a little searching around, And figured i might as well put in a gearbox from a durango. Unfortunately i didnt get any photos because i was covered in PS fluid & didnt want to damage my phone. Bolted up just fine, Just need to tweak it a little i don't quite have full steer lock going right. -
I love how this thread took a 90 degree turn, into talking about dream cars haha

$700 Off Road Capable 5.5" Soa Lift
Lee21490 replied to Incommando's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Could you be so kind as to send me that list, good sir? Interesting, Iron Rock offroad keeps changing the links to their parts..... And google got rid of one of them, So my updated list is no longer valid. Just google the part numbers, It shouldnt take more than 5 minutes to find them all at original prices. True, He did leave out the cost of shocks, But that was stated before the list was even posted. Other than that, I can't think of any other parts needed for his lift. -

Lee21490 replied to Incommando's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Actually you can still get all the parts in alexia's list, for within +/- $50 of the original total price. I actually spent a little bit getting updated prices & Linking him the correct links (Most were just expired links that they changed) But i guess he didnt want to update his list or something. All the items can be found with a few minutes of googling @ their original prices. Depends where you get them from, They are still the original prices at a few places, amazon included.
