I grabbed those brackets took me quite some time to get them not to mention it was pouring rain too.

There's a bright yellow longbed at the Vancouver Pick'n'Pull with an AMC 20 rear and Disco 30 both with 4:10's it's an 86 4-banger. I would have grabbed the rear if I had the cash. Damn I hate being broke. Stronger than a 44, plus it's cool as hell.

I'm voting for Lincoln because they look better. That shiny red case is just so sexy, especially compared to the cream colored Hobart. I just bought a 220v Lincoln SP-180 and I love it. Definitely get a 220v model. A welder is a big purchase, so you might as well get one that will last you a long time. If you get a 115v you'll eventually wish you went with 220v.

Be sure and let us know how you like them. I've been thinking about getting a set of those since they are only like $90 a tire. Hurry up and post some pics of them on the truck!

I've never had a problem with crossmember bolts.

I drilled all the holes out to 3/4" through the "frame" and used crush sleeves and 1/2" bolts.

That was one of the first things I did to mine when I got it, way back when.

I'd buy one of freekjeep's rusty MJ's and bolt in a Bugatti Veyron quad-turbo w-16 mated to a Fuller 18 speed manual tranny and stak 3-speed transfer case. I'd keep everygthing else stock.
