I ran a generic glasspack on my MJ and loved it. I thought it sounded great. I'll probably get another one for my XJ too. Plus you can't beat the price ~$20.
I loved the Detroit in my MJ. No problems on the street at all. It was a little noisy in stop and go traffic, but that shouldn't be an issue with an automatic. I'd buy another one for the rear without hesitation, the front however, now that was a mistake.
I picked up my 35's with my Festiva. I stuffed 4 35x12.50's on wheels, and my buddy Eirc, in there, yes in a Festiva. I'll see if I still have pics of that. So yeah, you can fit them in the bed of your MJ.
Swap in a blown 514 Cobra-Jet, dry-sump of course, Stak 4-speed transfercase, 2.5 ton rockwells, and 54" boggers. But keep the body, interior, and bumpers all stock.
what you talking about?
what i talking about?
The cut on the passenger side looks okay, but the drivers side is jagged and crooked. What is your plan to enclose the rear? Do you plan on running uni-body stiffeners? Are you stretching the rear axle back? If so, how far?
The ONLY time to consider NOT using one is if its a offroad only vehicle. If so toss it!! If not and you drive on the street...KEEP IT and properly disco it!! ;)

I've got an 12v Snap-On cordless impact. My dad gave it to me a few years ago when he bought a new one. It's about 10 years old and still works great. My buddy bought one from HF and it lasted him about 6 months, and wouldn't hold a charge. I've the the dewalt 18v and thats a great gun too. You get what you pay for.
I wouldn't run spacers. They make coils in every size. If it's cost you are worried about, you could grab a set of V8 ZJ coils or V6 Thunderbird coils from the Junkyard.
