  1. Ok. That eliminates stuck open injectors
  2. Plus tax
  3. If you have an injector stuck open that may account for a rich condition. Try unplugging each injector, one at a time, and see how the engine responds. As each one is unplugged the engine should start to run rough. If it doesn't change much, that injector may be the problem.
  4. I had a similar issue: it would get dim and hard to see, especially in daylight. Often it would just go blank. When it did become visible again it still kept good time. What fixed it? A dash board ground wire upgrade. See cruiser54.com Tip #18.
  5. Welcome aboard, from one 87 to another. Two things you need to do to help identify and fix issues are: 1. Cruiser's Renix Tips at www.cruiser54.com 2. Nickintimedesign Renix Engine Monitor (REM). You will find it at www.nickintimedesign.com There are some manuals on servicing these Jeep in the DIY section. I would recommend the 87 and/or the 88 wiring diagram manuals and the Renix Fuel Injections Manual.
  6. No. The BA10 has a unique bolt pattern. Most Jeep owner take off a BA10; few ever put one back on. The problem you have is the bolt pattern of the engine, not the trans. The rear of a 2.5 engine doesn't match a 4.0. So, any trans designed to bolt to a 4.0 won't fit the 2.5. The AX5/4 were not designed to bolt to a 4.0. There is your problem! Dakota designed a bell housing to fit an AX15 to their 2.5. Jeep never made that type of bellhousing. That's why everyone is saying to search for Dakota 2.5.
  7. I first wondered how anyone could drive that. Then I realized it's a British vehicle. No one drives it; it spends most of the time in a garage.

    Fastenal

There are two Fastenals near me. They are a last resort for purchasing nuts/bolts/etc. Why? I needed some bolts for a project. The store did not have them in stock/not regular stock parts. The price total was approx. $15, then they charged me $25 in shipping!!!! It came from their warehouse, on their truck, as part of a regular delivery to their store! They did not deliver to my house. I had to pickup at the store. NO! If it isn't in stock there, I order through Amazon Prime. Free Shipping.
  9. I agree with Ohm - underhood lamp. It should not have anything to do with starting or running. If I were you, I would not go back to him (or he may try to sell you muffler ball bearings).
  10. I like to get away from others and distractions (TV). Not that I don't love my wife; I just like to have a quiet room that I can sit and read. Additionally, in winter months and rainy days I get stir crazy inside the same four walls. A bigger house allows me to get a new perspective in the same house. But that's just me, others may feel different.
  11. A baker's dozen.
  12. This website has some nice history for the MJs. http://comanchemj.1hwy.com/index.html The production numbers referenced above match the total on the website (could be the same source).
  13. Wife and I have a 2500+ sqft (plus 1200' of a finished basement), 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, 2 car garage, on a 1/4 acre. Too much house for 2, not enough land for me. Our daughter is in college currently. In the past 28 yrs of owning it, we have "acquired" lots of stuff (nature hates a vacuum). For me, I would like 1500-2000 sqft of living, a large detached garage, and 3 - 5 acres. Tiny houses don't have much appeal. I feel we would constantly in each others way.
  14. Bloody peasants!
  15. I shovel the snow into the bed of my truck. That way I have the weight on the axle. As the snow melts, I lighten the bed load. Pretty easy.
  16. Try these steps
  17. Or Tetris
  18. Looks like a Family Circus comic strip.
  19. Yes there was on page 3. My bad. But there was 'Zep and Black Sabbath just a page back.
  20. Bottle in front of me Beatles or The Stones?
  21. You need the diff. gear ratio and tire size to determine the tooth count. Search the internet for the proper size gear.
  22. You need the earlier style MC.
  23. Pennzoil Syncromesh If you cut the one off the fire wall, you will need to drill through the FW. I would take the MC back to where you got. It cannot be OE if it has a stud where the FW has a stud also. You could try pressing out the one on the MC and keep the FW original.
  24. I swapped from the BA10 to an AX15 with an external slave cylinder. Which MC did you get? The ones I have purchased came with a stud.
