  1. In the spring/summer I am going to go 5spd. (ax-15) in the MJ. Its currently an AW4/231 SHORTBED rig. My questions to you folks. My front shaft and rear shaft both need to be modified right?
  2. Most of us either Wheel or DD these beggars. And everyone up above me is 100% right. Its 20 years old, give it a break. Its like you at 50. Wind Noise, Rattles, Bad seat. They take work, a little more than most at some points. Main points for my ownership is cheap reliability.
  3. me in all m'beauty.
  4. I can vouch for it if anyone wants to purchase it! Awesome awesome truck. Serviced and maintained by the minds of IFSJA.org
  5. thats how I did'er Jeff. My arse is sore today from sitting on cold ashphalt for 2 nights in a row, but the truck sits nicer now.
  6. mmm. 2011 single cab shortbed BluTec 6spd Comanche X Truck of the century!
  7. Just finished r/r'ing my front coils on the MJ. Jebus H was it ever a pain. I opted to do it with a trolley Jack, bottle jack, prybar and my handy hooked-crowbar. The swaybar came off and the calipers got shuffled off and 2 days later its all back together. Good learning experience. Handtools. The way real men hurt themselves.
  8. At the Cenotaph we stand, In memory of the lads and lassies who went across the ocean and didn't return. In memoriam we stand silent. In our hearts, they stand tall. Lest we forget.
  9. Ahaha. The red one belongs to 87Manche, the SWB purpley one is Pete's # 3 the white one belonged to RedBullMJ and the OD green one with the Ohio plates belongs to someone here too.
  10. Marty, the headgasket isnt such a pain to change. Pop onto Jeepkings and see if anyone in the area will give you a hand. I remember your posts from when you originally got the truck and you were in love with it, don't let it go like a bad ex, these jeeps stick by you thru thick and thin.

  12. Its not just a movie, Trailer Park Boys is a tv show based in New Brunswick (?) There are a few movies out too. Its hilarious.
  13. gah! You shot yerself on that one. Go look up an AW-4 swap. Hit the yards and find the TCU harness for a '91-94 XJ. Take the trans and make yourself a 4spd MJ. The 3spd will just be horrid if you want iffy-ish mileage
  14. Fixable! BUY IT! Drivetrain? Stick or auto? Stick = 360/T18/NP208 Auto = 360/TF727/NP208.
  15. mmmm 14Bolt
  16. check your front spiders. Seen it happen. The lack of it in 2wd is indicative of spider gears.
  17. Not to be a dink but your idea bombed because that pic is horrid. You can only see the centre section in shadows nor can you see any lugs on the wheels. Good theory. Needs to be revamped.
  18. That'll be the master. Ive never attempted one but the general consensus is its a pain and if you're going to do the master, do the slave in the Trans too. If one goes, the other one is sure to follow. Hey from another cross-boarded IFSJA member too
  19. sure it wasnt the ABS?
  20. Nice, I grew up and still live in Hastings/Prince Edward county down near Kingston.
  21. Ontario eh? Where from within this interesting province?
  22. Do I need to slap you? ;) Iron dukes lived shortly in CJ-7's and AMC cars till 'round 1984 when the XJ debuted. It was powered by a carbed 2.5L AMC designed unit which gained TBI fuel injection for 1986, the first year of our beloved trucks.
  23. go grab an aerosol can of Contact Cleaner, yank your fuses and let loose into the block. Maybe pull it off the firewall so you can see if there is any corrosion from master-cyl leakage.
  24. yikes man. thats a dreamy rig, no naturaly removed flare-lip :P
  25. Hey Pete! Did you finally get a good no-rot Southern body to work with? :D maybe a fresh '90's version of the '88?
