  1. ok so ive been not wanting to make this pigtail for quite a while. i have an 89 4 cylinder mj, and i have put in my 96 xj drivetrain and entire front harness in. i started labeling the xj harness gray connector, which i think is c204. i looked thru a pdf format the fsm on a 95 xj. now the problem is the first #1-3 wires are correct, nothing in #4, #5-7 are good then it goes down hill. i have looked thru viewtopic.php?f=9&t=19695 but it seems i have somewhat different wiring in my xj/mj then them. I'm curiouse if anybody has a link or can post/send me a 96 fsm, and also where i found connector c204 (xj gray) all it has is the pin number- letter then 1-2 numbers- size of wire than color. i have been looking thru the wiring section for the last 2 hrs and these 2 connector just happen to not describe what the wire does. maybe I'm making this harder than it should be, but I'm not too fond at wiring. any help will be appreiated :wrench:
  2. thought about keeping it and began making the pigtail for the front to rear harness. hope the pins for the connectors are the same in a 96 as they are a 92 , if not then :headpop:
  3. a good coat of wd40 on the underside/suspension prior to mud fun makes it alot easier on cleaning that part. ive been meaning to go to stratoline, looked like a good time

  10. haha not what i expected. on the j truck note I'm working in vancouver and drove past a house that had some old army rigs out front. one seemed to look alot like a full size jeep, but it was a crew cab :dunno: was heading somewhere so didnt go back

  13. does anybody near me know of a good place to take my comanche to get the eletrical swap completed. i have the motor/tranny, wiring harness installed in the rig, i just need to splice the front/rear together or lengthen the rear xj harness. I'm tired of working in my dirt floor garage and been busy with work lately.
  14. nice protection, but from the front and rear bumpers having sharp edges the tubing just doesnt flow wih them
  15. its a PITA to weld that thin floor. next time i do it I'm going to just cut out the rust and fit my patch over the hole to eliminate gars and burning thru
  16. really thought more than 3 people would be interested :hmm:
  17. i emailed mtscompany.com this today and am waiting for a reply. maybe if there are enough of us that show interest, we can make this guy some money, and solve the problem of lack of parts for us :wrench: hey eric, my name is cody. me, as well as many other people have a common problem of no aftermarket support for our beloved jeep comanches. the problem is that everyone thinks that cherokee units will fit into a comanche tank, but the will not. the xj unit is 180* from the mj. another issue that one or two companies have tried making solutions for (tank -ring adapters for off use only) is the common 4.0 HO into a mj that has the renix motor. the polarity is different so the gauge reads backwards and is inaccurate. I see that your parts are USA made and id love for an american company to provide us with the much needed support. is there anyway that you can bend some tubes that will fit into the comanche tank, yet use cherokee parts that are still avaliable?? if you want to know how much interest there is I can start a thread on the website I joined called comancheclub.com, or you can join and ask yourself and help us all out. and if you needed a mock up piece I have the fuel pump/sender from my 89 mj, and the 96 xj HO unit that I need to swap in. I have no idea how much it would be to start making them, but one guy found a 91-92 mj 4.0 HO unit in the wrecking yard and sold the 20 year old part for $150 in a week, just an example of how rare they are.
  18. Looks great but them 31's look cute :teehee: Maybe one day ill be there lol And stay away from the powder coating after looking into it if you take your time you can do just as good of a spray paint job for 1/8th the cost. Brandon Brandon, here's proof that you can comment on a post without posting the pictures that the orignal post already had :shake:
