yup i like the 29 spline due to relatively cheap yet strong enough for what ill be putting it thru. i have 2 and paid $100 for each. the draw back is lack of aftermarket support. only axle shafts i found were the yukons, and traction was limited to lock right, no-slip, aussie, and arb.

I'm getting a 29 spline 8.25 ready for my mj. i put zj disk brakes on it, going to either get an arb or powertrax no-slip, and maybe yukon axleshafts that are supose to be 15-20% stronger. for the 33's ill be running it will be fine

this is the only pic i can find of mine. i don't rember who i got them from but its was some offroad manufacture and they were $60-80 IIRC. their louvered so rain water did not get in, and i live in WA and see alot of rain. i prefer them over the looks of the lebaron

has your mpg dropped? it sound like o2 sensor to me but you said its been replaced recentley. maybe crawl under there and check the wires to make sure they havent fallen onto the exhaust and melted -
its be helpful. or clean the tank off, then fill it and drive around for a little then check for runs/drips. but if you found your problem that way youd be stuck with a full tank

bad seal at the fuel pump, rusted thru fuel line at the neck.

for the few little trips that i have taken my zj out on, i like it alot better than my xj. stronger unibody, alot more comfortable ride, flexes better with less strain and creaking, and mine has the glass on the hatch that opens up.

keeping clean tranny fluid in it, just reg maintance- will probably be fine. for some reason auto trannys don't get the servicing they need by most owners. i think its every 30k mi your supose so drain fluid and do a filter change :hmm:
-
vortex is a pretty big site, tho it has quite a few bad apples and not as supportive as comanch club. make sure you baby that tranny, tip tronics have a ton of eletroncis and are major $$ to repair

there is more than just me in the USA. jobs in america should only be for american citizens, or people with work visa's

i learned my lesson from getting a rig to fix up and not registering it in my name. long story short, did a motor swap, lowered it, had it maybe 2 wires away from it runiing on its own. buddy called to have some cars scraped, tow truck took wrong car and crushed it. yup my car. it wasnt in my name so i couldnt sue them, eventually got a impounded car from them as a "trade" but it wasnt my car that i had many hrs put into. i now register all my rigs as soon as i get them

pretty easy to get a job when the illegals will work for dirt cheap, no benifits, and under the table taking jobs from american citizens that demand half decent pay, with some sort of health care. us citizens arent perfect but the goverment is the main problem, not the solution. they hand out free health care to illegals with our tax dollars, make stupid child labor laws that keep you from teaching your kids how to work for a living (picking fruit, working a counter, bucking hay etc), and make it to easy to accept handouts- welfare, etc. i agree, america does have alot of lazy non-working people, but the uneducated? what good does going to college do? you get a big student loan you have to pay off, then when you graduate most start out at min wage working somewhere completley different than their major. I'm 24, never went to college but did a millwright apprenticeship, my first year at age 20 i made 50k, last year i made around 79k, and i have no student loan to pay off and work maybe 8 months a year but alot of hrs. I'm not racist- i dislike everyone equally :chillin:

X2!!!! sure there is going to be travellers that don't speek english, but we are being over run by illegals so bad that when i was in high school they were trying to make spanish a mandatory class. thats complete BS and i refused to take it. your in america speak english. "we" accept anybody into this country here legally or not and as english speaking citizens, or just citizens we are losing our rights to illegals. there was an add on the radio saying come in for any health care need, no need to provide insurance, proof of being able to pay, or even CITIZENSHIP! WTF- people who support that type of thinking should be dragged behind the back of a speeding comanche then used for target practice for the cops here in WA that seem to shoot than ask question later. point being if your in america, speak english. if you want to speak spanish so bad go to mexico, or if german is your style go to germany! :wall: :wall:  :hateputers: :USAflag: and :thwak: for anybody that supports foreign laungages being so widely acceptable in american stores and goverment services and I'm 1/16 blackfoot indian, but what good are the indians? go to their reservations and their mostly all dumpy except the resorts, they get paid goverment money to sit around and drink themselves stupid, and why do they deserve the land back that we won in the war?? we beat them with our boom sticks. so.... its rightfully ours now.

i think both sets are not very appealing but the bottom (le barron vents i think) would be easier to mount with only 4 rivets a piece. you could do like the thunder cheif and cut slots in the header panel

thats too bad... sorry to hear that

depends on how much faith you have in yourself but i think if you can do reg maintance on your rig you can swap out a track bar, or do ball joints. have someone get in your truck and jerk the steering wheel around while you look and inspect for clunking/loose parts (track bar,tie rod ends etc) i did my ball joints in the driveway and they were a bit of a pain but not to bad, and i used a ball joint press i rented from schucks. you can check your ball joints by jacking the front up then by hand lifting/twisting the tire with no load on it. if it clunks or you can feel verticle movement the ball joints shoud be replaced.

something good came from that relationship, the glass is half full

:agree: the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. had to remove the pic that came with this text msg, but it was a pic of the USA saying F off were full!!! If u cross the north Korean border illegally u get 12 years hard labor...if u cross Iranian border illegally u get detained indefinitely. Cross the Afghan border u get shot. Cross the Saudi border u will be jailed. Cross the Chinese border u will never be heard from again. Cross the Venezuelan border u will b branded a spy and your fate sealed. Cross the Cuban border u will b thrown n prison to rot. However, cross the U.S. border illegally, u get a job, a drivers license, a social security card, welfare benefits, food stamps, credit cards, subsidized rent or a loan to buy a new house, free education, free health care, the right to vote, and all without speaking a word of english. This should piss Americans off. If you agree, forward to everyone you know!! funny, yet somewhat true and very dissappointing as an american that pays all that stuff with tax dollars

DW is a cause of numerouse sloppy parts in my opnion. on my 86 xj it was the track bar, on my 96 i went straight to the track bar and it fixed- nothing, then i did my ball joints and both my lowers fell apart while removing them. so add together out of balanced tires, loose suspension joints, bad ball joints and you get death wobble, or any combo of out of spec old parts IMO

:rotf: the whole english isnt mandatory thing gets to me. go to home depot and everything has spanish under it, call a 1-800# and theres 4 other launguages, get a stinking owners manual-not that they hardky ever get read, and four or five different launguages in it again. i think if you live in america, you need to know and USE english. i know if i go to mexico i SOL if i don't know spanish.
