fiatslug87 replied to knever3's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I’ve used exhaust band clamps and haven’t had any leaking, did they just use the u-bolt type of clamps? -

Emergency Brake Front or Rear?
fiatslug87 replied to 88 Cry-slr's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
MJ e-brakes are at the rear wheels. A single cable goes from the pedal to a splitter bracket that the two rears attach to. -
My ‘90 had short, the ‘89 has long.

Routing of factory antenna cable?
fiatslug87 replied to EUREKA's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
In my ‘90 (original owner) that’s never been modified. Hole 4 in the center of the side panel to the left and up from the kick panel mounting hole is where the antenna cable enters the cab. and @Pete M the large connector courtesy light is also in the picture. -
years for courtesy lights?

Yup, my 88 and 89 have the smaller plugs and my 90 the larger ones. -

Hole #4, obviously you need a grommet and make a loop so it’s lower than the hole before it enters the cab. -

Yes, that’s correct, the change happened in 1990 models. -

fiatslug87 replied to AMCyaLater's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Thanks for the pictures, if you could get a shot down the bed rail to the support I would really appreciate it. I want to see how it sits on the rail. That’s the 18” one, correct? -

That’s a really nice looking bumper. Do you know what brand bed rack that is? Looks like RCI. Can you please post a couple pictures of the attachment points, above the rail and the side rail? Thanks. -
1989 MJ Rear Step Bumper Hardware
fiatslug87 replied to AMCyaLater's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I think it’s 45mm, I dug out the original but am guessing. But remember these may be slightly longer to accommodate the hitch and spacers. -

See if the diagram in post #7 helps. -
You can remove it or just leave it there. It just wraps around the exhaust manifold.
