    Congrats, but it’s always something with these old engines. Check the oil filter mount for leakage, takes three o-rings.

    I believe the knock sensor wiring is also in that loom but should not prevent it from running.

    It’s uglier in person than the pictures. Seen on 1-3-24 SB880 in Milpitas, CA about 3 miles south of the Tesla plant, it had dealer plates. Sorry for the poor pictures, traveling 75mph.

    It's a Comanche X (mid level trim JM62), sorry we currently can't get build sheets for '86 model year trucks.

    The TPS reading should be 17 at idle and increasing as throttle is applied. I have an older version without the r/m/i so can’t help there.

    Have you tried disconnecting and reconnecting the CPS? Sometimes that works. Also put some of the MJ’s details in your signature: year/engine/trans, etc.
