Congrats, nice looking MJ. The exterior color is Dover Grey Metallic Clearcoat, the firewall tag should have a PS4 code (or possibly CC) at the lower left.

Are 2.5L and 4.0L down pipes the same? Let us know how it fits since their listing says won’t fit the RENIX years.

Replaced the harmonic balancer on the ‘89. That bolt was tight! I tried putting grade 8 bolts (5/16-18 1 1/2 inches long) in the puller holes to brace the pulley with a pry bar so it wouldn’t move but both snapped!! Had to resort to the redneck method of turning over the engine with the socket on the bolt and the wrench against the frame, worked GREAT. Drilled and tapped two holes (couldn’t drill out the snapped bolts) so I could use the puller then had to go back to the hardware store 16 miles away to get a longer bolt (1/2-20 2 inches long) and some washers to install the new balancer. All good now.

There should be an EGR solenoid on the fender, that’s what the gray connector is for.

I haven’t had luck with the “new” NTKs.

So O2 does not bounce between a low and high value (which it should)? What is the Ω value when probing the A and B terminals of the O2 sensor? Should be 5-7Ω. Sounds like a bad sensor, I’ve only had luck with NOS Mopar sensors.

Got into a little fender bender but I couldn’t access the upper bumper torx bolt or one of bracket bolts to get things apart. The ‘88 to the rescue for a little pulling/unbending action.

On eBay in Tunkhannock, PA.

So you were actually referring to the rear side panels. Glad you got it figured out.

These are the fasteners for the rear plastic panel.

From the VIN, it is an eliminator I think those are the bed rails @Red Mistress has been looking for. Edit: maybe not, these seem square in some pictures.
