The blue connector is for the underhood light. For pre 1990 this connector is black.

These were from a '89 XJ, the hole on the left would push the bumper out the ~3" Eagle mentioned.

So yesterday, a guy rings the doorbell, my wife answers (I was at work) and he says to her "I see someone here is a Jeep enthusiast, I work at an auto shop and we were cleaning up and came across all these Jeep brochures, do you want them?" I looked through them and they’re from 1970 to 1990, almost every year, some model specific some the whole line-up. This was included, it's a 4 panel 11"x17" '87 accessories brochure, that I had not seen before, along with other MJ stuff. I'll get pictures of the rest later.

Can someone measure the distance between the front and rear bars of a SWB factory roll bar where they attach and post it? (red arrow) If you have a factory LWB one that measurement would also be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks Eagle, I found this write up, so I would attach #1 to the +IGN pin on the tach (top pin in pic) and #3 to the GND pin (middle pin in pic) on the tach?

Does anyone know which direction the tachometer potentiometer (screw head at the top of the pic) should be turned for a 6 cylinder? Eagle posted his friend found that all the way one direction is for a 4 cylinder and all the other way is for a 6 cylinder but which way? I know I can figure it out, but it seems tedious to connect, disconnect if needed and reconnect. If no one knows I'll do a DYI write up when I figure it out. Thanks

I have three MJs ('88, '89 & '90) I know for a fact the '90 emblem placement is factory (original owner) and the other two are within a tenth of an inch of that one, so I'm sure the above picture is accurate. If they were in line with the top of the flare they would sit right under the PIONEER stripe.

Do the rear bars that attach to the wheel well really only attach with rivets as in the parts manual? Is there a backing plate?
