That must have been fun to fit in the large head unit. Nice job. I was considering doing the same, but opted to go with the stock unit for now and later move onto a simple boat/marine based radio to keep the plane-jane look. One thing to note. If you used electrical tape on the steering wheel, I'd highly suggest wrapping it in bicycle handlebar tape instead. Handles become a gummy mess within 30minutes of use. I did not enjoy this so I switched back to a rubber bike handle.

Looking really good, especially with the extra rare louvers. IMHO turbines are the correct and only choice for the comanche. Can't wait for more of the restoration thread.

Are the mating connectors still available on sites like digikey / mouser / newark / arrow? If so, I can imagine having an adapting harness would be beneficial.

Here's a better photo. It definitely seems that my radiator was replaced and the captured nut was not free spinning on the transmission cooler line so the previous owner did what they could to remove it, but they bent the cooler line.

It could be the steering gearbox bracket / spacer. For some reason, the triangular shaped bracket is a thin cross section cast part. When cast iron fails it usually creates a fatigue line and then snaps. Sometimes it releases stored energy and makes noise. Here's the direct link to what I'm talking about:

Yeah I really hope keyparts makes them available. I think it's fair to say that most folks had to fabricate something to make the seat work. One of my driver seat studs snapped off so I had to weld a bolt in it's place. I also had to weld the flange on the bottom of my bench back because the bottom flange dissolved
