:oops: well a little cruise down my trail turned into me dragging the Mj along a tree. i should of known better since we just got a lot of rain this morning/over night but i thought i had it. it was a new way i just added up a small hill climb where you get flexed out to the point of no return everytime. of course me thinking it was in the bag, went for it. the soft dirt held for all of two seconds and boom, slid right over into it. it first hit right above the gas tank, nothing major. then i gave it some gas it jumped off the tree (hit a root i guess) only to slam on the rear fender flare proceeding to kiss the bed. at that point the damage was done so i just kept driving down :dunno: sure its nothing like totaling out your MJ drifting down a mountian but then again I'm glad it wasnt! I'm thinking truggie more and more with this truck :idea:

are your fingers not working? go to rock auto and look it up! :nuts: they were having a close out sell when i bought mine. if i still had the email id hook you up with the part number but I'm not about to search for you and just go to autozone or where ever to get the oil unit.

easy now, i was just joking around. :cheers: but in all serious-ness the way ive always seen any long bed, are for more of a work truck then play. to pull and haul the trail rig and everything to go with the trip. doesnt mean that they can't get dirty though

i think they sold you a AAL for a cherokee. i got ones just like that with the cherokee kit that comes with the hell creek. i always thought the ones for MJs were long ones. i don't know what you bought from HC but you should of just went on and bought the full leaf 4.5 packs.

actually now I'm thinking Motion was the way to go. they offer full leaf packs with adjustable LCAs and some other stuff to round it out nicely i thought. i think i had to buy some extra stuff from RC that comes with the Motion kit. i don't know how the quality on their stuff is but you never know till you try it i guess. and hey I'm a young guy just trying myself. since ive already been down that short path, i figured i could offer some advice. wasnt trying to bust your balls or anything. can't wait to see those pics man :thumbsup:

just gettin back into it myself. a bud and i went out a few weeks ago at where i work and killed seven. the dogs werent really doing right for some reason. they tree'd up two out of seven and we just saw the rest with our lights. should be going back out this coming week :yes:

bought a new oil pump and I'm cleaning out the garage so he'll have a warm place to go for work to be done.

i agree. you must do at least one before you die. i havent been skydiving or hang gliding but i want to do both. there are several towers around here perfect for base jumping. so thats on the list too. ive gone bungee jumping several times and its okay, i just wish there was more falling involved these guys however have the right idea. just riding the wind. i dig it :thumbsup:

you can paint anything you want to really. the steering linkage, diff cover and trac bar are usually what most paint. some paint knuckles to control arms to, hell anything that can be painted. IMO just those main three are enough

no clue but if you figure it out id like to know incase i run into that problem. ive got a 97 and 99. best looking maxima IMO

I'm dying to get my truck in our garage, out of the cold. plus when the summer comes and brings the bugs itd be nice not to get eaten alive. i started to clean it out but my dad is a damn hoarder!!!

haha and i was just thinking about a "post your flex" thread :popcorn: i don't know, it was just a thought. a lot of work but I'm sure itd be well worth it. don't get me wrong i don't have anything against leafs, it just seems coils are more,, adsorbent,, i guess is the word. for the way i drive the leafs just don't seem to cut it. in most situations yes but not in the sticky ones where I'm sitting looking at the front, ready to go, more flex in it and the back totally flexed out doing the one wheel thing. a locker prolly would help but thats not the point now is it. :roll:

that pic right there is why coils front and rear make the world go round . yup i have no experience other then welding random tractor equipment at work but i do know a few guys that like to fab up stuff. just thought id see if anyone has done it already for a point of reference. I'm still very interested in doing it and if i do start in you better believe ill make my own front arms too

oh, okay, so not much work at all. :D if its been done id like to see pics for sure. overall though i think it'd be a good upgrade for a serious trail rig. sure leafs work fine too but coils just go the distance. couldnt you just make a crossmember (or something) that fits the rear, fab up the mounts on the axle and your in business and if you went that far i believe the bed would be long gone by that point

ive been thinking about it and it really seems like a good idea to me. i recall a blazer that was on all coils and it was a beast. has anyone on here had it done or has anyone seen an MJ with it done? how much work would it really be and would the end results be worth it? I'm thinking yes

hey that box is pretty cool ^^^^ my truck came with this thing hung behind the seat with three rows of pockets on it. it was pretty cool but not original.

this should be a sticky somewhere. it gets asked at least once a week.
