put on a new track bar end and started it up to let it warm up. its raining now so I'm sure itll be muddy later :D man i need some rocks to crawl on, that mud is fun but a b***h come clean-up
-
maybe a down grade to 35s would help with going through hubs. those 37s just looked cramped anyway :shake: great looking truck though!

this ^^^^ ive looked around since i bought my lift from rough country/hell creek and it seems the motion offroad 4.5 kit is the way to go. comes with pretty much everything you need plus stuff others don't add in. i don't know about the quality but it seems pretty good to me
-
sucks we don't get snow down here but then again i sure don't miss the salted roads :ack: that plow looks good to me. should be able to handle some light plowing with ease.

the POR inside my cab is holding up great against muddy boots, tools and what have you. outside however is not. of course i didnt cover it up with a bedliner or anything so i figured it would start to peel and it has but not much. i have scraped, rubbed and everything else to it though and it holds up, until i leaned against a tree, it came right off (what wouldnt) but hasnt peeled around those areas. just scraped off. so overall its okay I'm my opinion. and i didnt prep the outside at all, so I'm really surprised.

okay its time. my rear quarters have bumped, dinged and smashed everytime i go hardcore with it. they are about on thier last leg so its time to cut em. i read a few threads on yall cutting them and it seems everyone did it a little different. my question is, whats the best way to do it and where do i stop cutting? some of you cut below the body line and folded, other didnt. i know there would be some strength added back to it with the cut and fold method but ill have a slider there so I'm not too worried. as far as mudding goes, did you put something up in there to stop stuff from flying in there or just left it open? as you can see I'm full of questions but i just want to do it right the first time you know what i mean lol. thanks in advance guys

thanks guys! yeah looking back it looks a hell of a lot better now then it did when i bought it for sure. I'm not through with him yet either. i just can't keep spending all my money on him lol. i didnt do the camo, it was like that when i bought it. I'm thinking the 97 conversion with military style paint job in the near future. also 32s would prolly be the best tire to run with. 31s are a TAD bit small but the 32s would prolly be the best bet as far as not having to trim.

i havent figured it out yet either but then again i havent really been trying anymore. i just live with it :dunno: I'm about to swap in another dana 30 maybe itll level it out but i doubt it let me know if you knock this one out

finally got some tires update!! bought the BFG KM2 31s from 4wheelparts. the cheapest place to buy them with the free shipping deal going on now. took three days to get mine and of course,,,,, i had to try them out! :clapping: it did have A LOT more mud but most fell off driving in the rain. oh well. performance wise these did great! hell half the time i was in 2wd but put it in 4-hi to get more mud flinging . also played in some sand while out and they did great again. i was sliding all over that stuff lol. as far as flex room they tuck very well. i get some rub on the backs but the front doesnt rub at all. of course i havent "put it through the paces" with the rough stuff yet but it handled the light stuff with ease.

ive seen tons of those videos but only once in real life. I'm not going to be doing it anytime time soon though :shake: and is there really another CC brother in Memphis? i don't believe it lol
-
sweet score man but don't pass the 4.0 up. i mean its an Mj, you never know what youll use it for. the 2.5 will NEVER cut it and that thing is screaming to be lowered or BAJA'd :brows:

good deal! thanks guys now i just have to find one

well ive always thought about doing the bypass on the CAD so I'm not worried about that. just any one 97-99 got cha. how many teeth will there be on 3.55 gears? hell if i find 4.10s in there instead, i might just pull the rear end too. which should be a 8.25 if I'm lucky.
-
pretty much just looking for one i could build up or one i could just swap in with new, bigger, better parts. plus i just flat out think something is up with mine. can't put my finger on what though. gear ratio was one of the first things i thought about getting right. don't i just count the teeth on the ring?
-
looking for another dana 30 to do a direct swap with. is there any certian year Xj i have to go for or could i just find one, pop it out, then pop in my MJ. any other tips would be apperciated. thanks

everytime i do my searches on CL that f_cker keeps coming up. it'll never sell at that price unless some ignorant rich bastard comes along and likes it. i wish they would just stop posting it already, seesh :headpop:

where do you get those headlight covers?? anybody know? and that brush guard looks terrible! :ack: take it off, take it off! :D
-
did the same thing with my rear brake line. bent the hardline a tad and zip tied it to the old valve. i guess i should bolt it up like yours but you don't really need THAT much slack. I'm always thinking itll get hung on a limb or something out in the woods hanging that low :ack:
