  1. yes.
  2. hell just be glad you didnt roll it doing that :yikes nice truck though :D
  3. no ideas about whats causing the noise. anyone? also i went and drove around checking out the front tire while turning (in 4low) and its like something is snagging the wheel at a certian spot making it not want to spin but the rear just keeps pushing so it goes. idk. the kid i bought it from said a lot was @#$%ed up with the 4wd in the front but he had it "fixed". guess not all of it huh.
  4. thanks guys, I'm still waiting to hear back from the guy. might want to sell the whole jeep but with a soon to be shot 4.0 and dying tranny i don't see myself making an offer or taking one lol. i might have a few more ?s if the deal goes down
  5. i searched here and didnt find what i was looking for but know someone has posted this here or maybe a cherokee forum :hmm: anyway ive found a 95 cherokee with a 8.25 rear end i can get for cheap. how easy is it to swap in though? i can get the spring perches rewelded no problem but is there any other things ill have to do? thanks
  6. here's one clicking noise.
  7. i did what you told me and the axle/u joint are snug. i can't figure it out as to where the noise is coming from. ill take a quick vid in a second and post it up. could it be the ball joint creeking? idk i might just drive it too and shoot video out the window to let you see what it does about the pulling bit. haha i mean i just don't know
  8. I'm not that inclined when it comes to the inner workings of the axle, how would i tell if its the u joint or hub or whatever the heck it is?
  9. would that be causing the grinding noise when turning to far? it wouldnt be the hub would it?
  10. what lift are you running?
  11. cool pics. ive been out that way but didnt get the chance to drive on the sand :(
  12. i was out climbing a few hills, nothing major, and when i would get to the top id turn drivers side and the tire would shake and it seemed like the four wheel didnt want to do right. as in not pulling maybe. as soon as id let off the wheel a little it would be fine and everything would work right but any futher and nothing. it also creeks really bad turning far drivers side. idk, any ideas as to what it could be? also it was in 4-low if that matters. thanks
  13. :agree: lets see those pics!!
  14. yeah, i just put two coats on each side over the original liner around the bottom and rear fender flares. whoever owned it before put bedliner in the bed and along the top of the bed to. I'm not going to go over that though. on a side note, i just put a first coat in the cab a few minutes ago. looks good. ill prolly go buy some paint to throw on top but who knows when thatll be :dunno:
  15. its cool if you hijack. got to learn somehow  anyway i got on the POR. two coats on the drivers and one on the pass. even did a little on the tranny hump in the cab. I'm going out there to finish up the inside today. i couldnt get that textured look where i took off the side trim. i guess they used a spray gun. oh well. itll be dirty most of the time anyway :D. trimmed the front fenders as much as i wanted to deal with that dremel. which was not much  it looks alright. shiny for just black. i wonder what the gloss black would of looked like steering damper! i messed up a few letters but hey two minutes of work, thats not bad. threw on a coat of clear too before and sort of after kinda thing. which looks better to you guys? no tool box/bed rails or with? havent done much else. fixed the cooler line but now a coolant hose is leaking. i just had to do a burn out :headpop:
  16. have the same problem but it isnt bothering me any. guess ill take a look though, thanks!
  17. FINALLY, got the oil pan gasket right. all this time it was a piece of the origianl gasket stil stuck on the RMS cap. :fs1: as soon as i peeled that off it went smoothly. hope it doesnt drip tomorrow for the test run. anyway i did a few little things, nothing really worthy of an update but screw it. took off the bed rails and out came the tool box. don't know if i like it without them or not. might throw in the tool box just to give it a see or maybe paint the rails black idk. the painted diff cover and oil pan (now with scratches). i also painted up a cheapo steering damper to match as well, with a little something added to it. just have to get him put back together first hopefully itll be awhile before it sees those jack stands again. at least until my lift goes on anyway. i should be picking up some 31 intercos sometime this weekend or next week. if i can hold off on those ill buy the 4.5 hell creek lift first but now i have to fix a god damned cooler line.... does it ever end. ha! didnt get to the POR yet but everything is ready. come on you northerners, blow some of that cool air down here again! its just too damn humid out there
  18. well i mean its waterproof and right now the cab is bone dry with no rust in it. plus once the foam expands there will be no hiding places in there and the POR top of it should make sure nothing ever gets in. only way is through the bottom but i doubt it'll go down like that..... i might not do it anyway just because and just get down the POR first. i can always go back and fill it if i wanted right :D
  19. well ive had the por15 and got the good weather to do it today. i was wondering about something while looking at the cab. the holes in the floor (not the drain holes) i was thinking about filling with tuff stuff and then going over with the por. has anybody done this or thought of? any draw backs? i know water will eventually get in the cab and figured this would help keeping it out of places i can't reach. comments welcome, thanks edit: i mean Great Stuff Foam, not the tuff stuff car cleaner haha
  20. damn right and if i go into another state and get pulled over for it. i just have to say, look at my plate. i don't go by your damned rules! god how i love our southern states sometimes. no gives a f*** down here.
  21. hate to hijack the thread but what about the Hell Creek 4.5 full spring kit? seems decent enough. it is spring under though but that just means itll be easier to install
  22. yes, another oil pan question. alright so ive went through three or four gaskets trying to get it right. everytime the sump part on the backside of the pan will go into the pan or poke out of the pan when i tighten down. ive tried the grey gasket and the blue gasket, they seem the same, but did both anyway. i put RTV on the pan, the gasket on the pan and let dry a little before putting it back in. it seemed to work but i forgot to put the oil pump back in :wall: it was out of sight so you know it was out of mind at the time. well when i took it off the sump part of the gasket ripped just like before when i tried to re-use. my point to this is, is there a trick or something to get it to do right? I'm really getting tired of doing it over and over and over, plus at twenty something bucks its not cheap either. any thoughts?? i really need help on this one guys
  23. love that color! don't ever change it. killer two door as well. looks like youll be set for whatever offroading is thrown your way

    4X4 ATV ????

False. The Honda Rancher was introduced in 2000 with a 350cc engine. 2000 was also the last year of the Honda Fourtrax TRX300 (aka Honda 300). The Rancher has never seen anything but a 350cc or larger engine. They are two entirely different machines with very few similarities - the only two I can think off of the top of my head are the starter brushes and the oil filter. the rancher is the "new" fourtrax is what i meant by that. just like the Colorado is the new S10 and so on

    4X4 ATV ????

my number one choice for a 4x4 four wheeler is the Honda Foreman. very good four wheeler. of course i prefer the older style to the newer looks but whatever. other then that the grizzly is pretty awsome. along with the honda rancher (aka honda 300), kodiak and big bear. i wouldnt go with a polaris, artic cat or suzuki. first two are (from what i remember) are heavy as hell and stupid looking and the suzuks just have always been $#!&ty in my book but i have no real experience riding them. just personal taste i guess.
