The hose you're pointing at is the outlet. If it is not hot, I suspect the heater valve is shut closed. The one on my truck stays open at rest and closes with vacuum. Do you have vacuum on the line? What happens when you apply vacuum? I would look there first. You stated that the top hose is hot. Can you tell if there is a difference before and after the valve? Coolant level? You stated that the core is running freely. Can think of no other reason for both lines to not be hot. This comes after diagnosing my heat problems last week. Don't know if a 4.0 differs any.

Native to the hills of Central TX

I remembered it from the "bay" and where it was from. I went to school at Randolph and love SA. ;) -
I'd say if the seats are in good shape, I'd pay that. Prolly more. Having said that-My nearist p.a.p. sells seats for 19.95 apiece, the one I found mine at is 29.95. Prices for comparison. Will add this-it took me a while to find usuable seats at the pap. People go through these vehicles and tear stuff up and generally don't care about the next guy. I found 2 sets of wing back seats the day I got mine. One set, someone set a battery on the passenger seat and ruined it.

Yes, indeed.

I'll be doing this as well, right after Christmas. Thanks for reminding me. :(

The valvetrain for certain. But also check the harmonic balancer for seperation and the rubber between the 2 pieces may be sticking out and hitting something(don't recall). That happened to me and produced a ticking noise.

I actually started with the Grand Cherokee thing. I preferred my ZJ over my WJ, thus the WJ was sold long before the ZJ. NAGCA is your friend. The 5.9 is quite popular with that crowd.

It didn't hurt my feelings, as a matter of fact I knew exactly what he was saying. I just posted because I own a 99 F150 4x4Off Road and he mentioned FORDS. Bottom line: We're enthusiasists, he wasn't. I'm on a F-150 Enthusiasts forum and I complain about the truck. The truck does a job, but I'm not an enthusiasist, couldn't really care less about it. And I hate working on it. I'm just on the F-150 forum to learn how to fix things on it. Probably the only reason he was on here. I don't get excited when I find a $2 trincket at the pap to add to it. I don't get excited to put a new fender on it. I don't get excited to add bucket seats to it. Or a console. Or fixin up the 10 spokes to put on it. Or lookin forward to converting to 4x4, it goes on and on. It just pulls my boat. I could drive anything, but love Comanches. One of the few hobbies I have left. And I don't mind the upkeep.

New To Forum and Very Thankful For It!
KYMJ replied to RDAN1's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
A dealer had a truck like that in Murfreesboro. It was on Auto Trader and Nashville CL as late as last week. I'm pretty close and wanted to go look at it, never did. Very nice truck. If I spend 5k, I want an AX15 tranny and a D44. (Me just being picky, sure I would have been happy with it, oh well)Thats not a knock against the truck, just my preferences. If I spend 5k, my dream truck is in the classifieds right here. I think Duplicolor sells a vinyl product, might send him a personal message. -

Did you recently buy that truck in TN? Check out this guy's thread, looks like he painted some plastic and vinyl with good results. Can't remember if he said what product. viewtopic.php?f=7&t=12812&start=15 -
Had them on my TJ w/35's and they work great. I had already right clicked the link to post here, but.......the PO stated internal weight and I assume a cheaper alternative, so I let it go. :agree:

KJ renegade Lightbar on an MJ
KYMJ replied to Dirteatr717's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
And now, where to find the lightbar: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JEEP-LIB ... ccessories -
jpdocdave, you nailed it. I'd rather work on my Comanche anyday instead of my 99 F150. I've had 2 sparkplug blowouts and I dread any other motor work. Goes through front end parts like gas. Need another idler arm right now. Nice truck?, sure, but more annoying than any JEEP I ever owned.

Fixing up my 87 and got it looking good
KYMJ replied to ChaseMJ's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
Lookin good. Can't quit finding things to fix or things you want to do with it. -
Actually, I gave mine away also. They got returned 2 years later when the fellow I gave them to got a divorce and had to move. I'm glad he called me first.

Thanks! I actually bought those years ago at the PAP and never figured out why, now I know. :clapping: Besides the speaker grills look better. Also, all the turbine wheels are painted and awaiting tires, which should be sometimes this spring. I've since removed the seat covers and wash them in the washing machine, thanks to the DIY writup, a time consuming task. I was able to do it at work, when I worked a 48 hour double shift at the Fire Dept. :D I let a perfect 4x4 donor slip away from my grasp due to work and the fact that it was going to the junkyard that day. Guess that will have to wait.

Wiring problem, Inop heater blower
KYMJ replied to Bounty Hunter's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Mine quit working as well last year. It wound up being the corrosion and years of brake fluid seapage on the fuse block and years of overheating and blowing fuses. The fuse simply will not make good contact in the right slot. For now I've got it jumped to another 25 amp spot on the FB. Problem is I have to turn it off every time I park the truck. I'll have to find a better solution. I'm been to busy to try and repair the fuse block. I will probably bypass the FB because it might be deformed just enough not to be able to repair. Anybody add new contacts to a fuse block? I want to say I've seen the correct brass connectors before. To answer your question-yes I took mine apart to spray it with electronics cleaner. A good idea given the common problem with the leaking clutch master. -
Here's one guy going the whole 9 yards with nice write ups and pics, there are others as well: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=20535

My paint dilema as well, high dollar paint job doesn't make sense for me. I really like my Baltic Blue and don't want a flat paint. So...I'm still planning. Good job on the paint. I went with the 4 dr seats as well until something comes up. Really hasn't been a bother so far.
