Less prone to letting this happen....spun lifter. You'll want a car intake too to fit it under the hood the truck intake dosent fit. Doorman ls2 intake is great for the money. Much less than a factory ls6 and makes close to if not more HP. What motor are you going with for the swap?

Just do a trunion bearing upgrade on the stock rockers. If your doing headgaskets upgrade the lifter buckets as well with the ls2 style. I highly doubt you'll need to do head gaskets with such low miles on it. Your probably going to need a larger injector with the cam swap as well.

Do you not have a front diff cover on it?

I had that on my xj, gave me room to run dual battery setup.

Even clean xj's command a premium. 10 years ago I bought 2 in one day for under 1000 each and they were clean just needed mechanical work, now rusty turds are like 2k and clean ones 6k and up depending on mileage.

Might still be a good deal if yours is too rusty. You'll spend more than that in the rust repairs most likely.

Keep in mind it's a first model year for that body style so there are some 82 specific parts that are going to be more expensive/harder to find. Like those missing front bumper pieces. My wife's 85 trans am.

That's awesome that you got it back. I put a hose clamp around the side of the hinge that lifts out. It's not theft proof but a thief probably isn't carrying tools and might pass on it just because it isn't a quick grab and go anymore.

Hey does anyone have engine bay pics of their 91-92 ac system? Mine was removed and I'm trying to gather all the parts, as many new as possible. I can get everything from an 89 MJ but I don't know that it will all be compatible. Can I get parts from a 96 so I can have 134a? Thanks.

Hey, I'm new to Comanches just got mine last week. Picked up a topper this weekend was listed as Comanche topper but after seeing pictures in this thread its looking like its an S10 topper. Brand is Ranch.
