  1. Diesel. Forced induction or naturally aspirated
  2. So you're the other GLG20s.... Spies like us for sure French fries or onion rings?
  3. Dangerously Coke or Pepsi?
  4. And for the record, the Waggy 44 in the front uses Chevy style knuckles, spindles, and hubs. You can swap in Ford 5 on 5.5" knuckles/spindles/hubs easily enough. But there's no way to go to a smaller bolt pattern as no one makes a replacement hub assembly similar to an XJ's unit bearing.
  5. The rear D44 or AMC 20 is a good match. Both are a bit narrower so some 1-1.25" spacers make it look more even. I had a set of 44's from a 1988 Grand Wagoneer under my XJ for a while but took them out. I'll dig around and see if I can find pictures. I know I have some. Somewhere...
  6. Cards against humanity. Lemmy or God?
  7. Aw hell no. Mudding or rock crawling?
  8. YJ Tastes great or less filling?
  9. AR Stick or auto?
  10. I have some older 5x7 halogen 55 watt flood lights I never put on a Jeep. Two sets of 2 lights. Sitting new in the box for 15 years or so. Pro Comp brand. I'd sell them to you for not a lot more than shipping. I'm never going to use them. Let me know and I'll send pictures.
  11. Make a point to pay it on the 25th or so, days before it's due and you don't have to worry about it.
  12. Hell creek has some 4.5" lift springs for the rear. Everyone and their brother makes XJ springs in that range for the front.
  13. I had a Pentastar in a 2012 JK for years. It is an improvement over the 3.7 and 3.8 sixes it replaced. There are a few minor known issues depending on the year but overall it's reasonably solid. It lacks low end torque but they do a decent job matching the automatic trans and stall speed in the torque converter to the engine. So in daily driving it's not as bad as you may think. It sucks with a manual but the GC doesn't have that as an option.
  14. I've done the drive from MN to PA. There's no good route to bypass Chicago. But it's not bad at 2am.
  15. It's easy to spend a lot of money and have it not be visible.
  16. Yeah, people expecting to get out of a vehicle what they have into it are likely going to be disappointed.

I'm going to fire up the fryer for a turkey this year. I have a good concrete pad away from the house.

    The draw to the MJ

I bought my first MJ intending to build it up. The one I bought is pretty well beat up so I'm not ruining anything by modifying it. The short bed has the wheelbase I want. The front end being XJ means it's easy to swap in the front Dana 60 and lift it. The rear leaf springs makes bolting up anything easy as well. The 4.0 is a stout engine that has tons of mods available. At this point I'm considering getting another one once this first project is "done". I'd like one as a drive around truck. Maybe a metric ton so I can use it more as a truck.
  22. I have a bent up tailgate I'd give you next time I head to Cedar Rapids to visit the folks.
  23. You didn't grab the whole bed?
  24. A few years back I was living in Oklahoma. We got a snow storm and they were out plowing the main streets. I was in mt J10 at a light sitting next to a minivan when a plow crossed the intersection, leaving a 2 foot berm across our path. The guy in the minivan looked over at me with an "I can't get through that" look. I flashed him a "watch this" smile just as the light turned green. I gunned it and bashed right through the berm. Looking back through my mirror I saw everyone else funnelling through the hole I made.
