  1. You're going to have to swap out the main panel and rewire the whole house.
  2. Let's see the casting numbers on the transmission and the tag on the transfer case. That will answer the question definitively.
  3. https://www.advanceadapters.com/tech-vault/1-borg-warner-t18t19/ This one indicates that the T18 in the J20 only ran through 1982. So it's maybe a swapped in Ford unit in an 83. Regardless, the T19 was only stock in Ford and IH trucks. It never came from the factory in a Jeep.
  4. If it is in fact a T19 it's not stock. Jeep never used the T19. They used the T18 (close ratio) and T18a (wide ratio with the granny gear). https://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledge/transmissions/manual/t18-t19/ All J20 manual trucks starting in 1980 used the T18a. All J10s starting in 1980 used the close ratio T176. 70s J trucks had the T18/Dana 20 combo. Some close ratio, some wide ratio. That doesn't mean it couldn't have been swapped at some point but it didn't roll off the assembly line that way.
  5. T18a if it's stock with an NP208. The T19 only made it into Ford trucks.
  6. I have JKS short arms for my XJ. I've been happy with them.
  7. In yhat same vein...
  8. Without Steve 'N Seagulls or Hayseed Dixie?
  9. I grew up flying in a Piper Comanche. Dad had a quarter share in one. I never got my own license but I did learn a bit about flying. At one point I was able to navigate whole trips on instruments.
  10. In my life I have only once actually finished one tube of Chapstick before losing it.
  11. Mashed. A Christmas Story or National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation?
  12. Nope. This is the first round. I have to sand it down and do a finish coat. Then texture.
  13. One step at a time
  14. And before you know it you'll own 3 and can't find any of them.

    Tiny/Small Houses

That isn't something I'd want to do every day.
  16. Because you can't be serious all the time.

    Tiny/Small Houses

Tiny kitchens suck. I do need some real counter space and cabinets for a few things. I also need real appliances including a dishwasher. I've lived in apartments with basically no counter space and it was "less than ideal". I can deal with I guess "medium" kitchens for myself. I have all of the basics when it comes to kitchen tools but not a lot more. I don't do big meals for lots of people and I almost never bake. So enough room to get something productive done is all I need. A tiny house with basically a galley kitchen isn't enough.
  18. Got the studs cleaned up, replaced some insulation, and hung some drywall. I have to move some stuff around so I can finish pulling the rest of the stained wall.

    Tiny/Small Houses

Right now for me it's resale value. I need to be able to sell this place when I retire. It needs to be big enough for that. For my retirement place I need a modest bedroom, guest room, office, kitchen, dining room, laundry/2nd bath, and a medium size living room. Plus shop. Enough room for me and a couple of guests. If I had family living with me I'd need enough space for family members to have privacy, especially me. The total space would depend on how much family.
  20. I'd bet they intended $6,000. And from the looks of the lug pattern it's probably a J20.
  21. I have also heard of 3.31 gears being optional in the early years. Rare in the XJ/MJ but possible.

    Tiny/Small Houses

Yeah, I'd probably need around 1,000 square feet at a minimum for a liveable house. Basically a 2 bedroom apartment or so. Maybe 1 bedroom if it was a big enough room. Plus a garage/shop. I have toyed with the idea of building a 50x50 shop with a loft apartment above half of it. That would give me around 1,250 square feet for living space.

    Tiny/Small Houses

I like the idea of a small house. At least once I'm in my retirement house. I'm in a house for about 15 years or so before I look at downsizing. For now, my medium size house is enough for me.
