  1. Can you do any panel? I have no AC. I can afford to be without it for a while if you want it as a template.
  2. 2020, definitely not. Unless you have a DeLorian...
  3. I can see that. But then again, they already have so few parts for XJs and MJs any more I'm not sure how much that would affect us.
  4. I don't know that I'd call this merger a dumpster fire. And I think Romney has better things to do than care about it.
  5. So the company that doesn't have squat for parts on our trucks changed hands?
  6. Last of the drywall is up. The easy part is done.
  7. Wow. I wasn't even paying attention. I need to get out more...
  8. It's possible. But you'll probably have to fabricate a lot of stuff like the intake and become a whiz at tuning.
  9. Yep. I started with a Ryobi drill. Now I have a dozen batteries for half a dozen or so tools. The 1/2" impact isn't as beefy as others but it's enough for most of the time.
  10. My mother is allergic to shellfish so I never ate much more than fish sticks growing up. Lots of beef, pork, and chicken though. I never learned to appreciate seafood. I used to be a right foot guy back in the day but now I'm more likely to woah than go. For an automatic, right foot only for brake and gas or left foot brake?
  11. Around here they dump a liquid brine solution onto the road ahead of the snow if they can (and maybe during while they're plowing). It does a decent job of not blowing away so it help keep the snow off the roads down here in the foothills. I'm not sure what they do up in the mountains but they have some serious equipment to keep the roads to the ski resorts open.
  12. Turf for me Cow, pig, or yard bird?
  13. I have the standalone pivot pin tool that they put in that kit. If I didn't have any of the tools I'd probably get that whole kit.
  14. For cars, radials. For off road, bias plies. White bread or wheat? Or other?
  15. I have a couple of the generic pullers you get at your favorite auto parts store. Works with harmonic balancers too. Same with the lock plate removal tool. Just the one in the tool aisle of the parts store.
  16. Neither. Over the air broadcast for local channels and streaming for the few things worth watching. CB, GMRS or ham radio?
  17. Yeah, with unlimited budget I'd probably rival Jay Leno.
  18. Drive shafts are cheap and easy to modify. Get them done after you fit everything else.
  19. Yep. It came behind the 4.3 V6 that used the same bellhousing as the small and big block V8s.
  20. Either Orbit Orange or Carousel Red.
  21. Depends on which NV3500 (or NV3550) you're talking about, as well as which NP231 you're talking about. The 3500 came behind the Chevy 4.3 V6. The 3550 came behind the Jeep 4.0. The NP231 came behind both. They have the same bolt pattern but different spline counts for the input shaft. By the time the 3500 came out in Chevy, it was being run in a driver side drop so pretty much all of the Chevy 231's have the correct drop. So yeah, the 231 will work but it's best to get the transmission and transfer case together from the same donor just to keep it easy.
  22. Aside from having a daily driver and a 1 ton pickup for utility/towing duty: My 1987 MJ built up as a rock crawler on tons and 40s+. Another MJ with a more moderate build (33's to 35's). Heavily customized Jeep M677 (four door FC-170) on a 1 ton chassis with a Cummins 6BT and a gooseneck hitch 1970's GMC motorhome (think EM-50 from the movie Stripes), converted to an upgraded GM 6.5 diesel. Bandit Trans Am (1977-1978) Magnum PI Ferrari 308 GTS GMC Syclone GMC Typhoon 1965 Corvette with the Rochester mechanical fuel injection and disc brakes (only year that combination was possible) 1967 Corvette convertible with 427 and side pipes 1970 GTO Judge Early to mid 60's Impala SS with the 409 (or W block 427 if I can find one). 1987 Buick Grand National GNX 1950's Willy's Pickup with a swapped in Flathead Ford V8 1961 Ferrari 250GT California Porsche 914 (just for the novelty of it) Tri-Five Chevy Nomad wagon 1996 Dark Cherry Red Chevy Impala SS Early 1970's GM station wagon like an Olds Vista Cruiser with a Cummins R2.8 diesel and overdrive automatic Edit: Forgot the 1996 Impala Edit 2: Forgot the road trip wagon
  23. If you can't find an actual 327, it's pretty easy to make one out of a 350 block. It's the same 4.00" bore just with a shorter stroke crank (3.25" vs 3.48"). With the right pistons and rods, everything else should bolt right up. The only question is main journal diameters but I bet that it's just a matter of buying the right crank. It's a Chevy after all so I'm sure there are several options. The nice part of that is that all of the go fast goodies (heads, intakes, exhaust, cams, etc) all bolt right up.
  24. Unless you go with a computer controlled 350, then the 4L60E (electronic version of the 700R4) that came with it would be best.
  25. I can't see the mountains from my house. We got some snow yesterday though.
