  1. It is a little high. The graphics are also wrong, it looks like they tried to mix 88-90 graphics with 91-92
  2. Become ungovernable
  3. I think this should be a sufficient size of jack stands. I don't really trust the ratcheting pawl type anymore after the whole HF thing, so I got some Sunex 10 tons from Summit for doing the axle swap.
  4. It's due to a material shortage, they'll still make them, but they took it off the site because of the long delay.
  5. They have the not military wrapped ones available. I got my MW springs on the last batch they made, and they said it'll be 6 months to a year before they'll make any more. The MW ones are the only ones made in house I think
  6. As of today, I am no longer in the inactive reserves, I can't get recalled if we go to war now. It made me think of this song: My favorite gripe was when a pilot said his ECS (air conditioning) wasn't working when he turned off his starboard bleed air control. The right engine was the only one running, he didn't start the port engine yet. Maybe he just thought OFF meant On, Full Force.
  7. I did some research on this for my truck, and did some trig to get better numbers. Dividing by 2 is just a good approximation because the frame and spring lengths are similar and much longer than the shackle. I really only did it to check the shackle angles. You would need to know the eye to eye length of the stock Chevy shackles to figure out the lift. I found the Belltech length in a Q&A on Summit's website, so that one depends on how accurate whoever answered the question was.
  8. I used Graphic Express for the whole Eliminator set before I decided to bedline it. Silver metallic but they can do a lot of different colors.
  9. Daytona and Le Mans naming their chicanes after each other.
  10. This was a couple years ago now, but loaded up with my DRZ400SM, XR100R, and a bunch of race gear. Probably close to 7-800lbs, that DRZ was a pig. I think this was when I took it to the kart track at Pitt Race and it flooded right before practice started.
  11. If you know someone with a 3d printer down there, I designed a replacement hood arm clip. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4741208
  12. The front is the same as a Cherokee. The rears are longer than a XJ, I used 3-4" lift XJ rear shocks and they were an inch longer than stock I think, but removing the bar pin was a pain. If you're using an MJ d44 it shouldn't change anything, but if you change up the spring plate mounts for axle mounts it would change the lengths.
  13. It would likely have to be wired into the tow vehicle's ESC/TCS to prevent this. It could establish CAN communication through the 7 pin connector probably, maybe needing an extra plug for dedicated CAN high and low wires to not create interference. Those signals already exist in any vehicle with CAN, so in that situation it would just default to regen. This isn't something you'd want to hook up to a truck as old as ours. I just looked at THOR's website and they even have an airstream concept that can park itself without the tow vehicle
  14. That actually would be really good behind a normal truck, it could charge itself from being pulled, and you wouldn't need a noisy generator at the campsite. I've thought about building an electric race bike before, and having a trailer with solar panels on it to charge a battery bank for charging the bike's batteries. This could add on to that.
  15. I put mine away for winter, but fall here is roughly equivalent to AZ "winter." ( I grew up in Peoria) I put the CSF rad in over the summer and it dropped the temps from 220-230 to where the e-fan could manage it at 200-210. I set the fan to come on at 205 with my REM. In the fall, the temp stuck right at 198 with no fan unless I stopped and idled. If you're having problems for emissions, you could probably block off a bit of the radiator with cardboard just to pass the test. You're probably fine though if it's above 195.
  16. I'm guessing there's a load cell in the tongue of the trailer that keeps the force on the tow vehicle 0, applying accel or regen as needed. The BMS in an EV won't let you charge the battery while it's being discharged, so there would have to be some tricky connections to hook everything up in parallel. It would probably have to be designed in by the manufacturer, that's way to deep into the propulsion system for the aftermarket to handle. I think hydrogen is better for towing and commercial trucks with current tech. With a BEV, bigger isn't always better. Double the battery takes double the time to charge, and you have to lug around the extra weight. (until solid state becomes a thing, but that's probably still a decade out) I've been considering the Mini EV for a while because of this. As long as I can slow charge it every night, 110 miles is plenty for a daily, and it fast charges in 30 minutes on 50kW, which are more available than 150kW stations.
  17. JK axles are a different generation than XJ/MJ/TJ. JK rear brakes might fit the axle end, but they're 5x5. Rear Explorer brakes work on the d44 with a little modification of the backing plate. Front JK knuckles would bolt on, but with 2 deg negative camber, and you're stuck with the wrong bolt pattern. JK rotors are bigger so you won't find them in 5x4.5.
  18. I measured between 2.5-3" rear with no idea what kind of springs they are, and 3" pucks in front. 31x10.5r15 with similar backspace to stock wheels. Rusty's LCAs to clear the tires. I'm gathering parts for 4.5" and maybe going up to 32s. Cutting springs is dangerous. The only springs that can be cut safely are tangential ended, ours are squared. It will make the spring rate stiffer and if it gets heated over 400 deg it will anneal the steel and ruin the spring.
  19. Es ist Freitag abend! A little thrash for the weekend
  20. *25 astronauts are from Ohio.
  21. It's not from a real dealership, but I just made this one. Inspired from the Big Bill Hell's Used Cars spoof ad that someone made in the 90s. Bad deals! Cars that break down! Thieves!
  22. I think everyone goes to Southington here, which is a lot of mud. Or there's Wellsville, but there's been a lot of problems down there. I've only rode some of the single track around NEO on the DRZ400 that I had. There are some trails in Wayne National Forest, but I don't think Jeeps are allowed. I miss the Gulches down in SC.
  23. Someone needs to get the housing 3d scanned without the lens so they can be printed, or have molds made. If only I had $800 laying around for the 3d scanner Creality just came out with
