    Side Tangent

I’m a fan of having multiple projects going at the same time. Especially if they’re at varying stages of completion. It lets me work on whatever I feel like at any given time.
  2. Looks like new. Probably better than new.
  3. I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it
  4. This is on track to be my favorite 97+ swap yet. I like the flares and the color.
  5. I like both vehicles! 99-06 GM pickups are some of my favorite vehicles built.
  6. I used the Rubicon Express one in my Eagle with the 231 because it was the cheapest option out there. It never said this in the instructions, but you’re supposed to do a rear CV driveshaft. I didn’t do that, so I used these u bolts instead for the u joints.
  7. You got that done quickly! I like it. Perfect timing as well.
  8. Looks like a pretty solid rig
  9. I’m going to guess that the loose one is the lockdown cable for the transmission, if it’s an automatic. If it shifts fine, I’d leave it. Tightening or loosening the cable will change the shift points.
  10. I haven’t done it, but the consensus seems to be that it’s a must do. If I ever have that kind of money burning a hole in my pocket, I would probably do it, but I’m also happy with the way mine shifts.
  11. Could one of the lines be collapsed or kinked internally?
  12. I suppose a person could convert to electric power steering. Might free up some room in the engine bay and will consume less horsepower. Probably not worth doing unless it was in a manual steering 4cyl.
  13. Does the power steering work while its moving? Maybe the new box is no good or the pump is bad out of the box. Wouldn't surprise me with quality control these days.
  14. That’s the conclusion I’ve come to as well
  15. This is what has happened any time one of my family members has done it too.
  16. There are places that should be able to remake that hose. I’m sure most hot rod shops have the tool to make them. Any shop that installs Vintage Air would probably have the tool to do it.
  17. @boxyjeep might have some words of wisdom.
  18. Please let us know how it works once you get it.
  19. They didn’t say whose post they didn’t approve of. They might not have seen that one by the time you commented
  20. You’ve got quite a bit to in a short amount of time. I’m excited to see the progress.
  21. What does all of that go to? I’m guessing one of them is your TV cable for your transmission.
  22. @jpnjake would probably know
  23. Exactly! Sorry for hijacking and talking about the other Ford sequel.
