  1. I’d trade a SWB MJ that needs floors for a 2 door XJ...
  2. That is probably the easiest route, yes. @kansashogan, what do you have for gauges in your V8 truck? @88mjsally, did you keep the stock gauges in your truck? @Rusty Jeep, here is a link to 88mjsally's build thread:
  3. Here are some threads to check out. Welcome to the forum! Do some checking on this website too: https://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledge/engines/swap-guides/chevy-buick-gm/xj-swap
  4. I love seeing really big tires on a truck without a ton of lift.
  5. When I see an MJ in person, I can get a good estimate on year based on stripes, gauges, header panel, and seats. Put a Comanche in a movie, and I would just be excited that there is a MJ in a movie, I wouldn't care the year. I might notice the differences depending on whether or not the Comanche plays a major role or not, but if its not a major role, I probably wouldn't notice.
  6. @Pete M might be interested in the rear flares!
  7. So long story short, CC doesn't like http URLs because it thinks they are all insecure and not safe. It prefers https URLs because those are more secure, did I technology right?
  8. Great looking MJ! Be sure to start a build thread on it!
  9. It turned out great! Do you still plan on listing it on BaT?

Good looking truck! I see you said it has a HO 4.0, did you do the wiring swap too?
  11. Those front fender flares look great!
  12. That is pretty sweet! I need to get updated pictures of what we have.
  13. I do like Corvairs. They are a good looking car. Thanks for reading my Ted Talk, that was pretty much pointless.
  14. Sounds like a plan. I will need to order a shirt soon.
  15. Why not? Rare doesn't mean valuable, so if he could get them out of a Corvair cheaper than he could buy them, I say go for it. Corvairs aren't really worth much and, if the car is already in the scrapyard, its better someone uses the parts than they get crushed. Using your logic, nobody should 97+ swap their MJ because MJs are rare and 97+ XJs are getting rarer.
  16. Agreed. I think $2,200 would be a good ask for the truck and it might be a decent buy at $1,500-$1,800.
  17. I love the older higher trim door panels.
  18. That price is definitely steep, can't lie about that. It is clear that it had a very low quality paint job. I say that because of the now body color tailgate handle and the fact that they didn't paint the door jambs. I would guess that the paint is covering up something that is not pretty. The pictures leave quite a bit to be desired too. If you are asking that much money for a 33 year old truck, you better take really good pictures of it. I think even half of their asking price would be a little bit on the high side.
  19. Is that your lifted red truck? I thought that truck was always red. Also, is that your unstoppable minivan behind it?
  20. Oh yeah
  21. I’m ready to send the money!
  22. Thanks! I’m trying to get there one piece at a time. I will probably replace the front bumper with an OEM one if I find an OEM brushguard. I’m in WI. We are only allowed 4 white lights in use one the road.
  23. I think I do want to start getting chrome pieces.
  24. I should see if I can come up with one of those. I did do some looking at them, but never came up with a ton more to add to my list. Your old school look in your truck is why I wanted to give my truck an old school look.
