  1. @Pete M, @eaglescout526, please move to it’s own post. Upside down pictures are one of the forums quirks. Those look like two beautiful rigs you have!
  2. They’re a simple truck. The main thing to look for is rust. Check the floors, frame where the leaf springs bolts to it, bedsides above the wheel opening, rockers and cab corners. Don’t be afraid of rusty floors either, most trucks needed or need floors. If the lights work and it runs and drives fine, it should get you home no problem. I just had an AX-15 rebuilt at 300,000 miles.
  3. Yessir, hopefully the red one will see some love sometime soon, though! But I do have work that I need to do on the blue one before that happens.
  4. I did my yearly application of Mother’s Back to Black today. It’s crazy how well this stuff works. Before application After application on one half. The current storage situation.
  5. This truck is @mark 39’s truck. It’s a metric ton, and a great looking one at that. He came out to get some window regulators from me today.
  6. I never knew you could adjust things with the REM.

I didn’t have room to store it at home since I was about to start college so I stuck it out in my friends field. It sat there for about a year before we tried to load it up to take home. The trailer didn’t have a winch so we used a rope and my tj. My friend didn’t get it lined up right so the front fell off the ramps with the back still sitting up on the deck. It bent the steering and about made my friend inside the truck steering crap his pants. We started over and it was still crooked so we ended up having to Jack the rear up and slide it across the deck. I’m amazed looking back that it didn’t turn out worse but we got it home and vowed not to do that again CC is Awesome! Why? Lots of great information and friendly advice Congrats @88mjsally! This is a really cool truck!
  8. A guy would think so, but it was probably Chinese junk.
  9. I don’t blame the part. After some investigating, we believe that we had an air pocket in the cooling system. The heat works much better now too.
  10. Would you be able to/be interested in creating a write up for this in the DIY section? This seems like hood information and it might get lost in here.
  11. Brand new aftermarket. Now the one original to the truck is back on it.

    $27,000.000

Grille, headlight bezels, and other front end pieces should be body color. I would guess that the color change was deliberate though—the Comanche and 4x4 badges are also black. I see it has the incorrect stripes too, but that’s a personal preference thing. It looks like a CRL slider too. I hope this and the Collins Bros MJ sells, it would make mine worth more. Overall, I think it’s a pretty nice truck.
  13. The funny thing about it was that the people following me were more scared than I was. To be fair, I could smell that it was coolant though and not a fire.
  14. For now, I’m going to run a plastic one to make sure that was truly the issue, then I plan to buy a metal one.
  15. Tommy boy. Zip ties or duct tape?

    Whats in your cab

Channel lock pliers and a flat head and philips screw driver. Plus like 3 sets of gloves.
  17. Of cluster, now that it’s done blowing coolant out, you can’t hardly see the crack. It broke right on the seam.
  18. And for the rear:
  19. After about 5,000 miles on the lift, here is how it’s sitting now.
  20. Poor SC looks like it’s been sitting for a while.

    Kilt wearers?

I've got one. My grandma came over when she was 17 to marry my grandpa. All of her family is still over in Scotland. We've gone over for 1 of my Dad's cousins weddings so far.
  22. Sounds cool. He was a section for non-MJ builds on here
  23. Good looking rig
  24. I believe it was dealer installed under the name “sketchy hammock holder”
