It’s somewhere in between, but no holes, which constitutes it as rust free where we are. I’m kicking around the thought of driving down your way when school is out to hit some JYs for parts for this thing. He does have the rear bumper on the orange truck, and it’s fixable, but I don’t know if it’s worth fixing. To kill vehicles maybe.

Well, he was able to pick up a straight and solid tailgate for it. It cost $200, but it was cheaper and easier than fixing his orange one.

This truck is too funny. I love hearing the “Is that your pretty blue truck that parks in the same spot [of the school parking lot] every day? My dad really likes that truck!” Comments like these make building these trucks worth it.

He says it was. It was white originally. 4 cylinder auto is pretty uncommon

Interesting. I always assumed that the floor shifter would have been standard equipment, but you could delete it for a credit and get the column shift.

I love to see some up close pics of how the rear suspension works.

I saw this and I've gotta say: I dig the concept. Like everything, I would change a few things about it, but overall, I think this is super cool!

Brakes are here and installed. They need to get bled and the shifter bolted down, then we can move it around.

Just so you know, these came in two styles, black and chrome.

Pictures would help a lot in valuing it. Has it been repainted? How many miles does it have? What does it have for a rear axle? Is it 4x4?

I’d be sure to include that these are 30 year old used parts. None of them are going to be perfect, but you described them to the best of your knowledge.
