No worries. Like I said, all I have that style in folding and you adjust by pushing the mirror(manual).

Which style? Low profile? Tow? Folding or non? Manual, remote or power? I only have a folding manual(not cracked) but trying to help ya out if you need specific style mirror and others can chime in on which one you need.

First Restoration Project

Those Hella 550's were nice when I had them, same with the 450's I had, course I ran into the same issue you have with the lights being too big and hitting the grille. -
Project: Cruise, a 1960 T-bird.

This one is gonna be a fun drive. Lol. That 1976 Chrysler New Yorker I have been putting off. But that car isn't going anywhere, but I do need to try to get it to run long enough to move it under its own power. -
Finally decided to sit down and start a build thread on Chunk. A carbed 2.5Litre with a 2-barrel carb that the previous owner put on over the factory single barrel which the PO kept. Current plans are to actually keep this one. What currently needs to be done is all the lighting needs to be added like the courtesy and the ash tray and cigar lighter lamp. A clock, spare tire carrier, marchal lenses, nameplates, wagoneer tails and I think a few other things I'm missing are to be added to him. Also gotta fix that broken window, uggh. I will make sure when I get to the XJ to take better pics but all in all its a nice surviving first model year XJ. There are a few other cosmetic things that will have to be done but I have plans to leave this one the way it is minus the upgrades.

Wellllll….Long story short this is a 1960 Ford Thunderbird with I think is a 429ci w/3speed auto trans, A/C, power steering and power brakes. I got it from a friend of mines family who inherited the car, they had plans for it but with their son(my friend) being in the military, they won't be able to do anything to the car. So they asked if I wanted it and who was I to say no, hell I even got the parental approval on this one! So here's some pics, I will get more the next time I am at the car. She needs a little work but 95% of it is there. Interior is in great shape and its rust free. Currently have new tires awaiting to go on the car. Sadly the drivers side window is broke and so is the windshield and what looks like the power window switches in the console. Oh and at some point in its life it was in an accident as the front end had been replaced but only lead bondo is present so it was done forever ago. This car I plan to take my time with and just see where it goes but I know I'm gonna want to drive it that's for sure.

90-96 footwell light connector
eaglescout526 replied to BeaterComanche86's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Blame Chrysler. Minuit and I spent about a day doing PM's on finding out who supplies Chrysler with their terminals and kits. I couldn't even find anything in the electrical connecter catalog. -
Ever wonder who made the center consoles?

The back panel under the window too with the now ever so fragile clip holders. -

That depends. My truck came with a single horn on the passenger side. Not every truck was built with dual note horns but everyone adds two horns to their trucks because the wiring is there for them. -
Meme contest - lets have some fun! edit: cast your votes!!!

Wow, I never knew there was a body slammed MJ in the world of minitruckin. On a side note I highly agree with your pic Pete. -
I take it all your grounds and stuff have been cleaned?
-
Depends. How bad is the needle bounce? The senders have a float design that is prone to bouncing when the fuel moves, thus your needle movement. The newer cars have a float that is designed to go with the waves and movement of the fuel in the tank. So you will see your needle move around as you drive.

Do you want an OEM one or a reproduction one? One of our members here makes reproduction nameplates.

Lol as long as it works, I can't argue with that!

So bench testing the gauge brought it back to life?

Adapting radio harnesses
eaglescout526 replied to coheed's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I think the only thing I didn’t wire in was the VFD wire that would dim when you pull the light switch to turn the lights on. Otherwise yes it works as it should. Has that slight heating issue that I think Minuit mentioned at some point but that’s about it. -
Adapting radio harnesses

Let me know if you need help with the wiring, I have diagrams from Minuit on what each wire is on both sides. -
Adapting radio harnesses
eaglescout526 replied to coheed's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I think Minuit custom makes a harness for the dash side to modern radios. I just installed an RX-141 but my harness plugs were never there so I took computer power supply plugs that plug directly into the board and used them to make plugs for both the radio and dash side. Works pretty well but as Minuit told me that the RX-141 is the only AMC radio with that plug set up so you may just may have to butcher them. I even tried searching for those pak con plugs and couldn't find them. -
Yeah I thought the same thing too for having an AZ MJ only to find myself replacing the drivers side floor.

Actually I still may have my aftermarket set. I can go consult my parts catalog and post the number.

eaglescout526 replied to WahooSteeler's topic in The Pub
Did that on a mashed up 89 2 door XJ. That was not fun and the damage did not make removing the ECU that much easier. I do feel your pain. -
Mopar or team Cherokee has the right ones. But the Mopar one you have to assemble.

I thought there was that weird extended cab proto that existed! I would get in touch with a Jeep dealer there and see if they will give you a build sheet and date.
