  1. This is unbelievable!....I did find a good parts source, and local too!!
  2. I've known about this truck since the early 90's...A buddy owned it...He put it away in 01..dry storage...I have since done the regular ''wake up'' service...new tank, pump, all brake lines. calipers, wheel cylinders, injectors, seals, harmonic, etc....Lets say they know me at the junk yard pretty well and I have a '95 cherokee there that I've been picking parts off of. The jeep had a safety fail and I believe it was for the leaf spring which PO couldn't remember why it failed. I'm hearing mixed reviews about general spring. That's why I'm trying to tackle this on my own, plus I'm on a budget....It's a shared build between my 22 yr old son and myself.....My dad had a '86 pioneer, so I only found it fitting to own this truck...I've probably owned a dozen jeeps, but this one is special to us.~Dave
  3. Thanks, found a set locally but haven't picked them up yet... $75 for each side complete...Trying to stay within my budget while I sort the rest of the truck....This is the only thing keeping me from getting a sticker at the moment... The jeep has been in storage since 2001.
  4. Thanks...Funny, I have a 2001 cherokee too, maybe I should look at it's springs.....The number two springs seems to be the weak point on these trucks.
  5. This might be the case...find the leaf that matches the broken one from the s10 and replace the other side(non broken) the same...adding one more might raise the truck but not sure how much...Watched the bleeping jeep u tooob video for the cherokee, he used the eye bolt leaf as the only oem leaf and bastard packed the remaining s10 to complete the set....Check it out..I'm curious if the same procedure will work on the Comanche....Thanks for all the input-Dave
  6. We installed a auxiliary fan from a '95 cherokee with a toggle/relay/ fuse.....My radiator is a closed system so no auto/switch on/off...Seems to work well so far?
  7. Did you send them the broken part? Or the whole pack?
  8. I'm beginning to think the payload isn't so great after all with only 4 leafs?
  9. Looking for suggestions and ideas, pros cons ? Any other vehicle share the same configuration of spring? I would like to retain the stock spring type due to it's payload capabilities and go with SOA in the future. I don't mind changing the leaf itself if I can find any....Thanks.
  10. Ha ha....And I thought I was alone......The struggle is real....
  11. The fitting that screws into the steering box has that special flare with the o ring....The metal line I have broke at that fitting or else I could have run some bulk hose and flared the line. Would a line fit from a later model '95 cherokee screw into the steering box? I have a parts jeep that I could grab it off of if so.
  12. Can someone provide the part number for the power steering return line or let me know if other years cross over from the XJ...Some say # 80402 or #80412...Not looking for OEM, Just a line that fits, thanks, Dave
  13. Not yet ,, Just replacing all lines from the distribution back...Hopefully by the weekend...Where can I find the procedure?
  14. On my MJ, The lsv lever itself was mounted in the opposite direction or at the 8 o' clock setting looking from behind. I relocated the arm back to the 3 o'clock position as pictured above. There was no resistance felt and the lines are empty of fluid. When I refill the lines, will the LSV work as it should or do I have to perform an adjustment on it?. The PO must have had it apart at one point and didn't realize what it does or the valve itself works both ways?? I hope this makes sense?
