Unless the OP goofed the VIN when reading it, unfortunately if the whole VIN is wrong when we run it, we run the last eight and that usually yields us a VIN. But it may not be the right VIN and usually the last eight are unique to the vehicle unless its a newer vehicle with the same last 8.

Theres something really really weird with this VIN. If I had to suspect, it could be some weird unrecorded VIN or a lost data VIN.

I had bits of my build sheet under the lower air vent below the dash, in front of the console.

Damn. Another one. Could’ve swore it said MJ in the catalog.

here's why I kinda support the theory here, My XJ does not have any provision for the grab handle, yes I have the handle and the A-pillar with open spots for the handle, but no holes(at least none that I could find without tearing out the interior) anywhere around where it should mount. My XJ is a very very base XJ model.

Alrighty gents, problem has been resolved. From some extensive research and ordering parts, I got a NOS clip and a repro switch for the NON tilt column I got the key-in chime to work as it should. Took me a few minutes to get it adjusted right but once I got it, we were in business and now every electrical component works as it should. Thanks for the help!

Makes sense, I am very very close to having catalog access again, but like Jeremy said, someone could make anew. Also perhaps AMC salvage might have a few of those pipes laying around.

What do you mean by front exhaust? Like the manifold? Or the front half before the manifold? Usually those pipes are the same.
