  1. It could very possibly be broke.
  2. Has anyone tried to duplicate the air box seal where the hoses for the core and evap come out of? Since they are NLA, I am curious if any one has replicated and replaced theirs as most are probably now drying up, at least mine is.
  3. I see it has the cruise speed sensor adaptor in place on the back. Is that all good and connected? It’s an analog speedo and not a digital just in case you were confused.
  4. My picture is of the air cleaner for the 2.5L found on the 84-85 XJ's but only 84 seems to have come with the graphics on the cleaner lid. Its what AMC denoted it as. Rebuilding the TBI? Theres not much room for improvement really, its kinda one of those things thats like at its peek performance/efficiency. One member on here either superhcarged or put a turbo on his 2.5L. I believe that is @mnkyboy.
  5. "Oh well I don't know, waaaaaa" European Turbines or Eliminators?
  6. Lol, its different from all the others. Guess in a way kinda like me. What I want to know is why we don't call the engine by its "Hurricane" name?
  7. Well look no further than the 2.5L connoisseur lol. But not just 2.5L TBI but the most Renix engines share some common GM sensors and plugs. Shoot theres even a 25 page epic on testing a rooting out all possible causes to a 2.5L no start. Turned out to be fuel injector.
  8. Night Nintendo or Sega
  9. I mean the HO 4.0 and HO 2.5 share a lot of parts in common but having the TBI 2.5L is just as fun and stands out from the sea of 4.0L's. Plus the 2.5L TBI shares some sensors with some GM cars of the same decade. Welcome to the small niche of 2.5L's.
  10. Interesting. Good catch.

  14. Spicy Windows or Macintosh?
  15. AT’s Mopar or no car?
  16. Don’t be so quick to judge them. You can always ohm them out and make sure they are reading right.
  17. It’s a normal fuse in the block marked gauges. I wouldn’t find it weird. Especially if they are 30 years old. Your battery isn’t really a sensor but more of how many volts the alt is putting out. The fuel gauge is obvious but those other two just depend on how much resistance their is from the sensor to the gauge.
  18. There’s only one fuse for the cluster and it would cause the whole cluster to not work. That’s about it for fuses.
  19. Congrats! @89 MJ, wouldn’t you say this is Santa’s refreshed sleigh? Lol. Looks great along with a great story.
  20. Maybe you have idiot light senders for your gauges, bad grounds, dirty cluster contacts, dirty sensor contacts. Could be a number of things. Have you done the cruiser ground mod for the cluster yet?
  21. Damn. That SJ had a muscle grill and a brush guard! Dang.
  22. Looks accurate and they still make those shades. I’m probably gonna by two sets.
  23. I haven’t see one, the only ones I know about which seem to have been factory approved accessories were the tape on.
