Now, supposedly there was a kit back in the day that would allow our MJ's to have rear defrost. I would imagine it was only for the solid windows and I am sure the XJ got the same kit as the windows are close in measurements. But in the Comanche Outfitters book(the red one) at the very back with all the accessories is a part number and description for a defrost kit. I have never seen a kit nor is there any as NOS.

I have original NOS AMC 2.5L O2’s if you’d like to go that route. The REM is easy to navigate. Nicks instructions for the device are pretty easy to follow. I believe it’s the bottom left button that will show each individual read out of each sensor. -
Roughly about $70

Theres three Mopar knock sensors left.

Makes sense. My grandmother still has the very same sets me dad and uncle played with. I wish to acquire them but can't yet.

Every time I see your Legos I can't help but think that yall have some of the 80's space sets judging by the colors of the greys.

Want some part numbers? That’s how I found one for my AC setup. Its a Gates hose but it was cut to fit and it was bent where it was needed to be. -

So steam clean or water decarbonization as others call it involve getting the engine to operating temps and using a squirt bottle with the throttle body or the vac hose to the booster to ingest tiny amounts of water in which when water enters the combustion chamber, it blasts the carbon deposits off with the steam that was created. There’s a few videos out there that shows it working pretty well enough to give it a shot. I wonder if you have sticking valves. How filthy would you say the engine bay is? -

MJ specific visor harness.
eaglescout526 replied to eaglescout526's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I know it seems like I am playing 20 questions but I just want to make sure you get the right harness and connector, do you know or have seen the plugs? I went through Comanche Dawn again to make sure my assumption on it having a factory dash harness was correct, didnt want to mess up there either lol. -

eaglescout526 replied to eaglescout526's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Makes sense. Alrighty! I will whip something up for ya, the visor is going on the passneger side, right? Is it going in your 91 or Comanche Dawn? If its the 91, I have no idea how much of the interior harness is the same from the Renix but I assume the visor used the same metri-pak connector. -

eaglescout526 replied to eaglescout526's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Interesting. Do you know which year the visor is from or no? It won't make the visor harness difficult for me to make, just won't utilize the ground from the dash harness. -

Lol. Yeah it was sometime earlier this year that we all made a big deal on why that XJ was in the yard. Still not known I think. -

New clutch won't fully disengage
eaglescout526 replied to Manche757's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Yay for math! But I swear I don’t act my age at all. I swear at my generation a lot and disagree with everything they do and how it’s done. That being said, it’s probably also why they didn’t do a great job with your clutch. -
1987 4 cyl MJ Rough running condition
eaglescout526 replied to jeepogeek's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
It’s a crude method utilizing water as a means to blast carbon deposits off the piston heads. It only works on a engine at operating temp. Thinking about it, doing sea foam would be the better choice or even some high octane fuel. -
I might try it this year with the camper. Or at least run some lights inside holy crap that gives me an idea!

Painting the instrument cluster bezel
eaglescout526 replied to schardein's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Not many but if you watch the Motorweeks review of the 86 MJ you'll see it has a garnet interior with a garnet dash bezel. Something tells me though that the audience liked black a lot better.
