20k miles with 4 years of owner ship. Pretty low. Oooo, I stumbled upon a lower mileage from 5/28/2016 This was when I hadnt exactly figured out why the blinkers remained lit but I thought it was a cool pic at the time of early owner ship. She didnt start driving on the road till about February but she didnt see many miles until recently. I have more early pics too that I found.

86 was when the V-belts stopped. Its just a little uncommon to see an 86 2.5L with the V-belt.

All cake. The harmonic balancer will need to be swapped, alt upgrade can be had and a 4.0L with the serp fan/water pumper pulley and the power steering bracket can be mounted on the 2.5L set up.

Havent done much lately. Just getting some NOS parts and what not. The only thing I have done lately is fiddle with the power lock wiring. At the time I didnt have any good connectors and used some crap spade connectors to kinda bring it together and get it to operate. Well I had enough of the terrible response and resistance from the drivers side switch so I replaced those pesky spade connectors with some OEM delphi connectors and all is much better. Still laggy on the drivers side lock actuator but I can feel it has a resistance when unlocking and locking manually. Now to get through the holidays and get the T-bird going.

ITS A V-BELT?! Dang I know the struggle. Serpentine could always be an upgrade in the future.

Has anyone tried to duplicate the air box seal where the hoses for the core and evap come out of? Since they are NLA, I am curious if any one has replicated and replaced theirs as most are probably now drying up, at least mine is.

I see it has the cruise speed sensor adaptor in place on the back. Is that all good and connected? It’s an analog speedo and not a digital just in case you were confused.

My picture is of the air cleaner for the 2.5L found on the 84-85 XJ's but only 84 seems to have come with the graphics on the cleaner lid. Its what AMC denoted it as. Rebuilding the TBI? Theres not much room for improvement really, its kinda one of those things thats like at its peek performance/efficiency. One member on here either superhcarged or put a turbo on his 2.5L. I believe that is @mnkyboy.

Well look no further than the 2.5L connoisseur lol. But not just 2.5L TBI but the most Renix engines share some common GM sensors and plugs. Shoot theres even a 25 page epic on testing a rooting out all possible causes to a 2.5L no start. Turned out to be fuel injector.

I mean the HO 4.0 and HO 2.5 share a lot of parts in common but having the TBI 2.5L is just as fun and stands out from the sea of 4.0L's. Plus the 2.5L TBI shares some sensors with some GM cars of the same decade. Welcome to the small niche of 2.5L's.
