  1. Yep, issues was the seal for the slider didn't work for the single piece. It was just a tad too big and created just enough of a gap between the glass and body to not seat properly. I also knew eventually I wanted a slider back so didnt load up gobs of urethane.
  2. I had to replace my rear window, it was a mess and I ended up paying someone to reinstall. Here's what I learned. -You need to remove your headliner and other trim pieces. I used the tool pete mentioned and it cut it up. It's pretty much impossible to not jack up the headliner. -Removing the seal is best done after it's been baking in the sun to make it more pliable. Take your time and go slow. New seals are pretty much non existent -Install, I tried to do the urethane but didn't work. I did it with a 1 piece because I could not find another slider. Well the window fell out and was a b*@ch to deal with the urethane. I ended up finding a slider and paid someone to install it. Removal wasn't bad install was a B.
  3. It does look aftermarket. The one MJ I just sold I had to replace the rear slider with a CR one that I got from another member. Fit sucked but I didn't have a lot of options. My old seal did not fit on it. As for a seal you're at the mercy of a used one. No one makes them.
  4. Yes but no. I sold the red MJ to Trent only because I picked up meanlemons project MJ. The red one was just too nice to go beat on. This one will work out better for making a truggy. Need to get it running and finish a few things. Already has D44s, ax15, arbs and 33s. Will beat on it for a bit before really tearing into it.
  5. Best year to source axles are from a 98-99. You'll get a HP30 with the 297 u-joints and 8.25 with 29 spline shafts. If you can find a XJ with a 2.5 chance are it will have 4.10s in there. If doing a 2wd-->4wd conversion you'll need to get a tranny from a different year depending if you have a 5 speed or auto. 5 speed AX15 is the best option but little harder to find. If auto aw4 but you'll to stick with specific years because of the PCM.
  6. Just a damn shame.....
  7. I posted that POS a while back on here. Saw it on FBmarketplace.
  8. Another vote for the Thrush. Ran it on my XJ and will put it on my MJ. Was decently priced and sounded good.
  9. I'm personally a fan of big and awesome. But I know that makes it more expensive. Now an entirely different thought but what I would think would be awesome, Silkscreened posters. Could also get a few ts and sweatshirts as well but I know it would require a big enough order. Unless someone's got a diy set up. I'd be willing to pay more for a silkscreen pri t versus somehing just run off. Plus it would be unique and one of a kind.
  10. Never even thought about that part but thanks for mentioning it. It already has the booster upgrade and new brakes, but I'm not really sure how much of a caliper upgrade the Waggy 44 is over a 30.
  11. Currently it's non running, still need to finish up what Neal was working on. I don't think they'll be any vibes, it's only at 3.5" but never know.
  12. Cool good to know. I'd consider a rubi case if it was cheaper. Looking now and most are around $1500+. Other thought that just popped in was doing a hack n tap for the 242. Pretty sure I can just use this https://www.ironrockoffroad.com/product/hack-n-tap-slip-yoke-eliminator-kit.html and solve the dilemma. Just don't want to spend on a ton on a short term solution.
  13. I may just keep saving my pennies until I can get a four speed atlas. I have the d300 and can run that since it would about the same cost to get a sye for the 242.
  14. Couldn't justify keeping two MJs. The red one was a decently clean one and couldn't bring myself to chopping it up to do what I wanted. New one is fairly well built to start and I can beat on it with out worry.
  15. Think a used rubi about 1500, so not really any difference. I have a 242 on my WJ and do like it in the snow.
  16. So recently picked up a new MJ project and looking at getting better gearing for the trail. Basics are a 4.0 AX15 with D44's a 4.30s, has 33s now but will move up to 35's. Right now I don't want to swap axles or regear so looking at a Atlas or underdrive set up with a D300. Cost wise between the two setups is roughly ~1k IF I source most of needed parts for the underdrive and install them, if I buy the underdrive drop in ready probably ~$500. Atlas is coming in around $2700 and a D300 doubler about $1400-1700 depending on some things. (Rebuilding the cases, putting in a twin stick cover kit to flip the D300, sourcing a 231 6 planetary, etc). Only plus with the D300 set up is it would be more comparable to the Atlas 4 being able to have 2 low and a slightly higher low range 5:33:1 instead of the 5.0:1. Move up to the Atlas 4 and then it becomes a way different comparison but also an additional $800 but a low range of 11.70:1. Guess as I start looking at the cost breakdown the Atlas seems to make more sense all things considered, but it's the additional amount the I'm trying to see if it's worth it. Other option is just running with the 242 in there and putting the rest towards some of the other things. Thoughts?
  17. My hospital is on the flip side. They are getting ready to reopen for elective procedures next week. Already have most of the OR time booked for surgeries. They are expecting to be back to mostly normal operation by mid May. We didn't have to furlough anyone be reallocated resources to other areas. I reopened my jobs reqs as I need to get some more people hired.
  18. Trent will take care of it. Said hes looking at 4.88s 34s and a little lift. I'll let you know it's not moving for a while. First need to get it running and will build on it from there.
  19. Well the day has come for me to let the comanche go....... It's going to a better home. A fellow NAXJA guy, Puttzer, snagged it and will hopefully poke in over here. But I am not MJ less. Decided to snag Meanlemons project MJ and ship it from PA out here. Hes already put a ton of work into it and will be a great builder for what I want to do. Plus I won't feel as bad chopping it up compared to ol red. Currently is sitting at my dads un Denver and I'll hopefully get it running to bring up this summer.
  20. I've saw this junk rambling around when I was in Denver.

Hahaha, things where said........................... Out of curiosity, did you buy a kit or DIY for the tower and such? Was looking on eBay and saw a Kegco kit for $100ish
  23. This is one of the MJs around me. Super clean and a nice looking truck.
  24. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/540389669998232/ $800 each locally (seems crazy high to me but not sure if anyone is looking)
  25. So, I know you can swap certain HO parts over without the harness. The new project MJ I'm picking up from meanlemons he did just that. Has a 96 block with the 99 intake and a few other things from the HO but will still be renix. If you do a full HO swap 98 or 99 are the only ones I'd consider. Obd HO swap isnt worth it IMHO.
