Glad to see others enjoying some suds! I finally picked up a kegerator. Pretty stoked about it. Topped it off with a tap handle from one of my favorite watering holes, Bull & Bush. Now just need to get the rest of the basement finished...... On tap is Moutain standard IPA from Odells. Really good balance of east and west IPAs, hence the "Mountain" standard name. Not sure what barrel will grace my presence next. Time will tell......
  3. Gasket? If so it won't fit. The CR has a metal "gasket" that sticks out further than stock if that makes sense. Be too much to fit with the CR and the gasket. Only way it would work is to cut the outter facing piece off and then glue it down. Could be done, but youd have to take your time and do it right. Otherwise it would just look weird and wavy IMHO.
  4. Atleast a 1/4 and more in other spots. More mainly because the frame was a little tweaked from storage/moving over the years. I had professionally done as well, but they even said it will never sit flush without a gasket. What Limey posted is pretty much in line with what to expect.
  5. I had a CR on my old MJ. I would say the fit is OK, not great but not terrible. Biggest complaint was the gap between the window and the body. It does not install flush but some silicone would probably be fine.
  6. I can appreciate that. I personally am a huge fan of punk music and not for the music but the attitude. The music for the most part isn't the greatest (few true punk bands are actually musically inclined), but it's the DIY attitude that I love. At the time most of these bands (in the 80s) hated the music scene. They couldn't play but rather than the gripe about it they picked a instrument and learned to play. When they wanted to put out a record no one wanted to sign them so rather than call it quits they started their own label. Couldn't find a venue to play so rent out out space. Need some merch so recruit some friends to make album covers and print crappy t shirts. Unfortunately the scene got bastardized and crap bands capitalized on the word Punk. Thanks to Nofx, greenday etc........they suck Bad brains, Bunch of rastafarians that changed the punk scene forever. Fast, good and smart. Youth brigade, 3 brothers and creators of BYO label. I could go on all night
  7. Follow cruiser54s tips on the HO swap. It's not just bolt and go and you need to get a few things to make it work. There's also a guy on youtube that did the HO swap on renix that has some good tips, can't remember his name. I'd also go through Cruisers general list of "to dos" for the renix stuff. Specifically headlight harness and the C101 connector refresh. As for the lift guess it depends on what you want to do, rocks, mud, mall crawl and your budget.
  8. HAHA thats dark.......
  9. Well it was my WJ I built specifically to be a decent daily/family rig and after "Jeep" things kept happening I got a scion xB. Not the best, but not the worst and I hate jeeps less. Plus I get like double the MPG in it so it been a win all around. Although in the 3 months I've had it been in more accidents than in my 20 years of driving. Wife thinks it's cursed. Whatever get's me around and I don't have to wonder what my next project will be on it.
  10. Pull the carpet under the floor boards. If those are toast hard pass at that price. If no rust there then I'd get it to start and negotiate from there.
  11. I know a guy in Kiowa that has a shop. Hes slows af but does solid work. He rebuilt my old 4.0 in my XJ and the 4.7HO in my WJ. Also built a few other engines for my dad and friends. PM me if you want his info.
  12. I have a cavfab kit on mine with about 4". It was the first kit and theres interference with the fuel line and the crossmember bolt. I plan on ditching it in favor of somehing else or fabbing.
  13. RIP Pieree. Not sure if anyone has ever heard of Naked Raygun but major influence on a lot of bands and huge part of the chicago punk scene. Pierre was the bassist for naked raygun and pegboy. Self taught and just all around great bassist.
  14. Well the link keeps taking me back here......
  15. Ohhhh damn, well that sucks. I'm guessing the mitigation systems was part of the contingencies? If so maybe see if you can get them to pick up the tab.
  16. First house we bought needed to have the entire line replaced as it had roots growing in it. Luckily we did a scope before buying it and they caught it. We just moved again (don't ask) and new place has a bunch of bentonite in the area so we opted to do another scope and came back clean. Learned it's better the shell out the $100 for the scope then the bill later.
  17. I'd dig one as a converted couch. I get its chopping one up.....but.... thatd be pretty cool.
  18. Based on what you're saying, just get it running and driving well. Do a few of the easy mods, dual diaphragm booster, headlight relay, convert the cooling system to an open one, checkout cruiser54s tips. I wouldnt touch axles right now. If you want to swap axles and such find some 96-99 xj axles with 3.73s swap them in run some 31s-33s. Modified and relaible daily rarely work out. I get your kid wants it lifted with big tires but doesnt do any one good if it doesnt drive or drives like crap.
  19. Hp44 if you want strength without weight. You can add D60 knuckles and IIRC shafts. Depending where you are, JK30s can be stupid money and might as well build tons.

Going coast to coast tonight. First is this from Abomination Brewing up in Conneticuit. Rare fog triple dry hopped tripple IPA. 10. something abv. Really good, but given the price won't be circling back on list.....$28/pack. Second was Wonderjack IPA from Breakside colab with Barley brown. Delicous west coast IPA. Just like munching on some pine needles good malts balance and noce bitter picker at the end.
  21. Good luck on whatevers next. Now time to start getting more of those jeep parts right?!

Nice, what was the brewery called? Been a llloooonnngggg week. So to keep with the theme of uncertainty I picked up some new brews tonight based on my wine buying skills. What color, does the label look cool and wheres it from. Both have been exceptional choices. First was from Quebec, Canada, ta Meilleure NEIPA from Lagabeire. Very drinkable and would not guess its 7%. Really smooth and just enough bitterness to juiciness ratio. Other was Lips and Lungs DIPA from Short throw in CT. Just really damn good and super juciy. Last was Can O bliss DIPA from good ol Oskar blues in Longmont. Nothing super special but I'd put it in a top running for a "I need a good beer that I can find most places" category. The regular can o bliss is pretty good this is just pushed it to a better spot IMHO.

African amber huh? What makes it "african"? Hops?
  24. I know you said no fuel cell but.....don't think something like this would work? Footprint is plenty small to not take up a ton of space. Plus it gets it up from the rocks. https://www.jegs.com/i/RCI/821/2171A/10002/-1?gclid=Cj0KCQjwp4j6BRCRARIsAGq4yMEsPi_QdgNbbjn2l2czGGhHFnKyGK_S2jB4M8QNxI853ctvoqqlOWUaApm5EALw_wcB
  25. And going off on a tangent these guys and their junk...
