  1. Hello I have a 1987 Comanche, 4wd, short bed Renix 4.0 (ba-10 but we won't talk about that ax-15 coming). My truck did not come with AC or the tow package (I know this because I happen to have the original factory window sticker will attach below). I have no overheating issues currently but am moving to Yuma AZ for work and want to add a electric fan just to make myself feel better. I was looking at Dorman 620-001 (linked below). Am I able to plug this fan directly into the factory wiring harness plug which is located on the driver side fender next to the airbox, or do I need some sort of fan controller in addition to the fan? I am not the biggest fan of electrical work (yes I know renix jeep has all sorts of electrical problems so help me God I'm squashing them one at a time) so I am looking for the simplest solution as possible. 2. The rustys is radius and or 3/4 link
  3. Want to do a long arm lift on my Manche, does anyone have experience with either of these kits? You obviously get more for the rustys, but how big is the quality difference for the price of buying all the shocks, brake lines, steering components, and sway bar for the TNT? Thank you! https://www.rustysoffroad.com/rustys-mj-comanche-6-5-long-travel-kit.html https://www.tntcustoms.com/jeep_parts/jeep_comanche_mj_long_arm_upgrade_87_92_jeep_comanche_tnt_customs
  4. Hello, Now that my MJ is in good running order I am looking to lift it as my winter project. My goal is to have 35-37 inch tires and ample flex for off-roading. I have a Dana 44 out of another MJ, currently looking for a front 44. I will be building both front and rear axles. I’m going to do a SOA, which from my understanding gives me 5.5-6 inches of lift. My question is, can I say buy the front part only of a RE long arm lift kit for an XJ and would that work for my MJ? Or is it more worth to piece together my own lift “kit”? I understand that it will be more to buy from RE or other well known companies but the convince of it appeals to me. But will the front half of a XJ lift kit work? Thank you for all the help
  5. Head gasket blew, so ended up being gifted a 4.0 HO head. Not complete, I need to figure out a better solution for the wiring harness and the 200-400rpm idle speed but hey she runs. video-1606090937.mp4
  6. Have an 87 with the renix block and a HO head from a 92(? maybe 91?) that I'm putting on once the head gets back from the hot tank. Its just a matter of personal preference with the cold air intake.
  7. Bought the car in Nevada, which does not require smog laws, so it has a simple cold air intake. Rather than deal with the mess of what vacuum line goes where, I was hoping to just put a CA sticker approved cold air on it. But its looking like imma have to figure out what line goes where.
  8. Searched the forums was not able to find anything, nor did google have any results. Was wondering if there is another poor sap who has to smog his vehicle in California that knows of a better way such as a cold air intake.
  9. Looking to do a SOA using the Dana 44 I have
  10. Hello all. I purchased a 1987 short bed, 4wd , 4.0 Comanche and a separate Dana 44 out of a MJ back in August however due to work have not been able to fiddle with it too much. It just blew a head gasket and I’m in the process of putting a 92 HO head onto the stock renix block. Other than that are there any other “required” upgrades that should be done? And can I purchase the front half only of a XJ lift kit or is it better to piece together my own lift? Thanks!
