My university starts spring break Monday and now we will have a week of online classes when we “come back” from spring break. There is talk of extending the online classes to the end of the semester depending on how things go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I just threw the last AX-15 in it and it’s crunchy to second occasionally and it whines really bad. It’s all about maintenance and previous owners really. I’d also love to learn how a manual transmission goes together. I rebuilt the motor in my Comanche because I figured what better way to learn. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Got me an ax-15, the one I have in my truck now makes a little noise so I got this one to rebuild and swap in, but it’s only got 140k miles so I almost feel bad tearing it apart since it might not need it. Oh well Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Still on the hunt for a wiper switch if anyone has one or knows where to get one. Trying not to spend the $150 to get it off rock auto and then still having to find the stalk in a yard somewhere. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I took a friends firefly and stuck it on and without any tuning it had a much better SWR across the board. I guess I just need a higher load coil. I was hoping to not have to go to a fiberglass antenna because I’m going to break it. It’s just a matter of time, but a whip seems to bounce back better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I know in theory how to tune a CB radio and I’ve tuned many, but this set up didn’t matter if the antenna was longer or shorter, all the components were properly hooked up. I’m assuming just due to location of the antenna I can’t get the SWR lower. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just a friendly reminder. I’ve “known what I’m doing” many times and still completely forgotten a step or something. Even doing what you know sometimes you get out of rhythm Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That’s what I’m slightly worried about. I have a friend with a base load between his spare tire and the hard top on his wrangler mounted to the tire carrier and his has a perfect SWR. I figured mine was far enough away/in the open more than his I really want to run a whip style antenna as I feel they will handle tapping tree limbs better than an unsprung fiberglass antenna. Also looks a lot closer to factory which was kinda the look i was after. I had tried an NH-4-HC antenna previously and I couldn’t even get the SWR below midway of 3 to set on the SWR meter. Here’s the NH-4-HC. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Here is a ZJ arm next to a XJ/MJ arm. Make sure to get your drag link and track bar angles right so there isn’t any bumpsteer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Alright someone here has to know something about CB radios. I took the factory antenna out on my Cherokee and used that location for my CB antenna. There is a good ground, good continuity. Uniden 520xl with a Wilson 2000 trucker and I can’t get the SWR below like 2.5. Any suggestions? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I had a new shaft with new joints made for my Comanche for $200. Are you planning to drive down the highway much? Sounds like it’ll be screaming with 3.73 and 26” tires. Oh and the only experience I have with clutchless limited slips are my miata buddies that beat the snot out of them. One of them is running 12 pounds of boost on his 1.6 and the other is waiting for his turbo manifold to come in for his 1.8. Edit: My butt dyno says there’s actually a slight improvement going from the double wall heavy rubber shaft to a normal steel shaft. There’s a sizeable weight difference between the two. It was an hour drive to get there so I figured I’d get my money worth Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I found a couple door handles this weekend Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Tried a Wilson 2000 trucker on it and it got tbe SWR lower, but it’s right under 3, so still not great. There are not shorts in the coax and there’s continuity where there should be. I’m thinking it may just not be great quality or something. I’ve never had much issue getting a low SWR before. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have an 8.25 in my Comanche and I’d really like a limited slip. I’m pretty set on a truetrac as it’s a clutchless limited slip, but I’ve never actually driven any limited slip that uses clutches. I’d love to know how it performs in your set up. Do you know what gear ratio you plan to run with that size tire? I have 29” tires, 3.55 and an ax-15 and it winds out pretty far on the highway. Looks like it’s supported by the frame not the axle tube so I don’t think that’s the amount it gives. They sell these things at the parts store as lift kits. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Oh yeah that’s actually the limit where I live. I always forget because it’s a weird number, and I just say 30 because that’s the closest you can get without going over. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Luckily I’ve never been pulled over for tint and I’ve never gotten a ticket for tint after being pulled over. My Cherokee is 20% on the front door windows and 70% on the windshield which 30% on doors and no tint on the windshield in my state is the law. A jetta I bought had 5% tint on the front windows and double 5% on the back windows and back windshield, and I have a friend with 30% on the windshield and 5% on everything else. I’m honestly surprised neither of us have had any issues with tint, mostly him since it is very noticeable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

With just rear LEDs I had no issues with turn signals, when I put LEDs in the front it dropped the resistance more and I had to use a different flasher relay. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Kind of hard to see, but I got my CB antenna installed. Removed the factory radio antenna and use its location. For some reason I’m having trouble getting the SWR down. It’s currently a little over 3, which is not good. The mount is grounded, the coax has continuity on both the hot and ground, but no shorts. Screwed the coax into the antenna and the antenna has continuity with the other end of the coax and again not shorts to ground. Above 3 on channel 1 and 40. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I got these off Amazon for the brake lights and another Comanche guy on here got the same ones and said he liked them as well. As far as the reverse lights, the ones I ordered are no longer available, but can be easily found at parts stores or on amazon by searching “1156 white led” or something similar and choose one with good reviews. The best thing I ever did was put LED bulbs in the tail lights. The running, brake and turn are all very bright and noticeable, and the reverse light actually does something now. Tint or no tint I would highly recommend LED bulbs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I got an xbox and for the online part you could make 1 user name free or you could use one they gave you. I knew I would think whatever I chose was stupid and want to pay to change it later so I left it as SatricialHen461 which is what they gave me. So for the forums I just dropped the 461. I just got brighter reverse lights to make up for it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My Cherokee has the factory privacy glass and I had them match it for the front windows which the guy said 20% matched, and then it’s got 70% on the windshield. I haven’t tinted my Comanche yet since I plan to do the 1 piece window swap in the doors. I’ll probably do the same or maybe 30% on the sides and back Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
