  1. Sounds like he already did that. mjeff87, bout what year did that come out of? It is exactly what I was looking for. I tried to do it with the EGR solinoid but it didn't work. I had it in an 86 Grand Wagoneer I had, and I have seen the same style of switch in an 84 XJ.
  2. Hmmm...... I just pulled that little handle on the center console, and just drove around like always. Jeep, the toughest four letter word in getting the job done.
  3. Yes. A rebuilt Puke-out is about $750 here. If you can find one. The drive train is worth alot more than $200 bucks.

    top 5 bands

Back when I was a DJ at the local college alternative station, I had to play 'Been Caught Stealing' about 40 times a week, now I can't get that damn song out of my head. But I also can't get the 'I touch myself' video out of my head. Man the early 90's were fun.

BUWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That is the funniest thing I've read in ages!!! Thanks I really needed that. For me at least: U2 Springsteen Hendrix Zepplin Young(without those CSN guys) If you know them, you don't need first names.
  6. Should be measuring them front to back. You get a more accurate measurement. If you measure them top to bottom, weight of the rig and how much air pressure is in them becomes a big factor then.
  7. MT/R are almost as bad as ThornTurd's in thick heavy gooey mud. While its a passable rock tire, it really is more of a super aggressive AT.

    diesel cherokee??

Winnebago Lesharo motor home had the same motor. A place in Iowa, that I'm sure someone will post up the name of has almost the entire motor worth of parts available.
  9. Ummm.... educational spam. The bots are trying to teach us now. Dammit! I thought the internet was for gambling, porn, and web wheeling.
  10. actually i started talkin to rob almost as soon as he posted it for sale on here. and agreed to buy it off him within the first week. he even gave me all the spare jeep parts he had, which i can't seem to sell any of them. Alex Rob had 3 at one point. His red 86 sold twice on Ebay, and still was in his driveway.
  11. Its kinda funny Rob spent literally months trying to sell his, and you live in the same little town. Okay, maybe not for you (or Rob, for that matter) I found mine of on the MADXJ Yahoo list. I saw one local to me for sale a couple of weeks ago, I will swing by and see if it is still for sale....

    Merry Christmas!

My wife dropped about $700 on our kids alone. She keeps telling me she hasn't spent enough..... Christmas sucks....
  13. Do you need an eye patch, a Capt. Morgan hat, a parrot and say AARGH! Maties alot, to do that? I won't take issue with anyone going off topic though, I was actually called 'Capt. Off-Topic' at another board 'cause I do it so well. Christmas sucks, so happy Festivus to everyone.
  14. I drive my MJ like a grandpa. And I regularly pull down 21 MPG highway. 4.0l manual tranny and 3.07 gears.
  15. If I remember the carrier split correctly, yes. You would need to use the R&P from the 3.55 axle and the carrier from the 3.07 axle.
  16. Damn... That thing is like the Holy Grail. It keeps showing up all over.
  17. >Snip< Hello Ohio, Welcome to Illinois. Want flat? From the roof of my house I can see the college 50 miles from here, or Iowa take your pick.
  18. Okay, you had me VERY worried.... AZ is just too damn hot all the time. If I'm sweating in Janurary its too hot to live there.
  19. Okay, I HAVE to ask.... How in the hell does Attica make this list????????? Other than the Badlands, the place is a complete crap hole.

    Tire Search

Agreed go used. I got my Firestone Destination M/T's 33 x 12.5's for $180 with some 10" wide rims.
  21. My O-ring is ripped. So I only fill it about 2/3rd's the way up. But I have the 23 gallon tank, so I usually can't afford to fill it anymore anyway. $47 canadian to fill it up. Man I wish I payed Canadian prices... That's what, about $3.53 US???? :brows: Let's see, snow storm yesterday gas price jumped 12 cents a gallon(US, not that goofy Imperial crap) today.

    Snow Day

I agree, manual lockouts would be my first preference. But AMC didn't design them in so we get what we got. I've had the Duelers for 3 winters now. I got the Revos right after Sears tire started carrying them. I didn't necessarily want Revos, but that it was them, another set of Wranglers, or the Sears branded Michelins. I had never used the Revos so I wanted to try them.

    Snow Day

I'm not spending $150 on a truck I bought for $500. Not to mention its purpose is hauling stuff, and putting around. It may get one of the 'home-built' kits at some point, but thats SO FAR down the project list, the truck may rust into nothing before then.

    Snow Day

12" of snow fell between last night and today. MJ handled it quite well. Once again confirmed that Bridgestone Dueler Revos are the best snow/combined surface tires available. My universally hated vaccuum disco system worked almost flawlessly. It only failed to disconnect on command once. As soon as I came to a stop it disconnected though. I need to do a bit of work on it though, it made a slight bang everytime it engaged.
