Another thought... is nut breakers... small, very portable... slip it over the nut crank it down.. it splits the nut. Or... breaker bar, find a cheater handle in the yard somewhere and leverage...

If I didn't already own the ZJ... I wouldn't have gotten one, after owning one. WAYYYY too many stupid little problems compared to the XJs. The interior electronics are trash....
-
One of the things you have to be prepared for is that everyone has a FSJ story. And you will get to hear each and everyone of them. Whenever I drive my Waggy anywhere, I get stopped by someone. I won't drive it to the store for a quick gallon of milk or loaf of bread, 'cause I will get stopped by someone.

:rotfl2: I'd go with "you're welcome" definitely the best vehicle I've owned and a very worthwhile addiction  I'd use I'm sorry... :rotfl2:

I had one badged as a Plymouth Arrow for about 10 days... I bought it off the back of the dealer lot I worked at for next to nothing. I was tooling around and hitting snow drifts...The frame snapped right behind the cab after hitting a big one...

Well.. while technically correct.. its pretty lacking in actual truth.... It doesn't address the competitive landscape that Chrysler left the J/E dealers with. By the 92 model year J/E dealers had the hottest selling vehicle in its class, the iconic vehicle in its class, an abandoned mid-sized pick-up, and a handful of hermaphrodite, awful car models on their lots. The Comanche had zero marketing support, zero product development support, and every Comanche took a production slot from a Cherokee. It wasn't hard to see what way they would go to keep their doors open...

x2.... I was gonna get it for the Wii when I got ours as part of the bundle. But the provider was out of Jeep Thrills. I never got as far as the Comanche before getting bored.

Its not a Cherokee... Its a Scout wearing a Cherokee T-shirt.. with a Chebby motor. Unless the Scout body was totally useless... leaving it a Scout would have been FAR cooler than slapping a Cherokee on to the frame.

The exploder trans is electronic. I'm kinda amazed noone suggested a C-6... But I have feeling you were looking for something with O/D. IIRC, the oldest versions of the AOD were hydraulically controlled.

You have seen my big red bag and the smaller green one. I hate the big red one. It fits everything.... but with the major downside of being heavier than sin. The green one is too small for the bigger tools, or the regular tools and small parts.

The Chinese one makes me throw up... reminds me of something Mahindra would build. The second one looks like something Chrysler special projects threw together out of the spare parts bin to try and pry Jeep lovers money out of the their hands. They would throw a Hemi in it and start a massive marketing campaign patting themselves on the back over it.

My wife has screwed up feet, surgeries, pins, screws, etc. in her feet. And she stands most of the day at work, New Balance shoes are more money than alot of brands but they are only ones that last more than a month or two for her.

I've never used Eccos.. When I used to have a job where I walked all day long, I used postman shoes. 'Cause who walks more than the folks delivering mail door to door? That was a great pair of shoes to walk in all day long. Now I have to wear boots, I use Timberland or Red Wing with the ABS safety toe. Meets the same ANSI 75 standard as steel toes at half the weight and they don't get cold. Cheap boots/shoes end up being alot more cost than just the money you save...

I've had some greek dishes that had goat in them... It didn't have any sort of funny flavor.. but that might have been related to the preparation of it or the spicing of it. The food was pretty good. I thought about getting a goat to eat all the crap in my backyard and annoy the poop out of my neighbors idiot dog.

Well.. considering your blog link is full of $#!&...These bills are two different versions still and are nowhere near passing any thing... As Thomas shows.... The Senate Bill http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d112:s.968: 4 months ago a written report was filed in the Judicary sub committee The House version http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d112:h.r.3261: Referred to a sub committee three weeks ago. So if they blatantly lie in the first sentence are they really all that reliable for the rest of an article.

Wait a minute, where did you get that instrument panel? There's a guy or 2 on ebay that sells those stainless steel "panels" for the XJ/MJ/ w/e that fits that design. I was going to see about getting myself one (only $20, and he has a pretty nice collection of different designs) but I thought they'd look goofy with the restoration I want to do to my MJ. If you want to know more, head over to ebay and search "Jeep Cherokee Dash Bezel"; I think you'll be quite surprised. Got the right answer in 1 note, Bob..... Sport gauges originally ordered for the OO of my MJ... Wood dash Bezel from a early XJ Limited.... Brushed Stainless Steel XJ dash bezel from E-bay guy, complete with 3m tape that works like the cats @$$ to hold it on.... I got it a number of years ago, but it was around 20 bucks. You have to pop off the front of the gauge cluster to install it. But mine had an enormous crack in it anyway so I wanted to replace it.

My 94 has a D-35 with 3.73's... towing package... And gets 11-12 mpg. a fubar t-case does that. But it never did better than 16mpg before the t-case locked itself up.

The correct spec for an AX-15 is a GL-4 75w-90 gear lube. But since Chrysler doesn't want to carry a single spec fluid in their service inventory, they switched their recommendation to 10w-30. You just do not want to use a GL-5 fluid. The NP 231 and 242 both use ATF. The BA-10 uses any old 75w-90. Originally the spec was for a GL-3. But there aren't any GL-3's left. So you can use a GL-5.

Sorry.... but no good experiences... Realtors that want to sell the most expensive house to maximize commission... One that flat out lied to me about the presence of asbestos in a house when I was at the bottom of the stairs looking at it.... Owner after owner thinking they own the nicest house on the planet... or at least pricing like that... Bankers telling us we could afford twice what our own budget said we could... Miserable, miserable experience... That's why next time it will be the exact place I want...
