When I was thinking of paint choices for my MJ I thought I would hate yellow, but that looks pretty good. Have you considered blacking out the Jeep letters of the tailgate?

1990 Rebirth ('97 Conversion)
Rymanrph replied to Rymanrph's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
Well, its been a while, but I've made some progress. here is a shot of all the driver side patches on the firewall: I got the motor pulled and here is a shot of the empty engine bay with the seam sealer on the patches: And a shot of the fresh paint: Tomorrow I'll start labeling the engine bay harness in the cherokee before I pull it. Once I get the harness in place, thing should start to go pretty quickly. -

I remember when you posted this before. I'm curious to know how well it performs. Post up a review when you get it in the truck. -
From what I can tell, they have some really nice stuff. I'm not big into hot rods, but I really want one of their 33 replica's.

I've actually done this temporarily before. Worked pretty well. -

I'm not usually a fan of that type of bumper, but your's looks pretty good. And those tires look huge! 33s or 35s? -
360 Fuel Injection Build

If you need some b-pillar lights, I have some stock ones, but I take it your going with the euramtec lights like you have in the red truck. If you want them though, just swing by; I've got several to pick from. Oh and the clear marker lights look good on your truck with all that chrome. I'm going to miss them on mine. -
Yeah, no drilling required. At least I didn't have to.

I was able to find one locally at an Advanced Auto Parts. I think you can shop online: http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp ... et/home___

I put a '95 AX-15 and TC into my '90 and the connector for the reverse light was the only connection and it was the same, so if that's what's stopping you, don't let it. Your's is a 5 speed right?

They stay in there until the people who get them open them up. Its how you can tell if someone has read your PM or not. Once it hits the sent folder, they've opened it. Rob L. Well, that's cool and good to know. Thanks!

How long do messages stay in the outbox before they are sent? I've got three in there now and I want to make sure they go through.

Project Utility Comanche. The Saga Continues
Rymanrph replied to JeepcoMJ's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
Man, you're moving pretty quickly. How much time are you spending on this a day? I cut most of the driver side firewall out of mine, but only ended up using small pieces of it. Are you using the new engine and fuel system or just the wiring? Is it that easy to use the newer style wiring on an older engine? If that's the case then I'd love to do that in my truck (I trust my old '90 engine a lot more than the new '97 one). (reminds me to go update my own thread and take some more pictures....) -

Your truck is so clean! I really dig the matching wheels. -
I bought mine here: http://www.glasswarepro.com/2221482-ite ... l#-2221482 Looks like they have 12 in stock. Its an after market piece. Doesn't fit as good as factory, but it works and the opening is pretty big. I'm happy with mine.

I don't have unlimited texts and so I get very annoyed when someone wants to send a separate email for every question they have. The last guy sent me at least 2 dozen texts (even after I said, just pick up the phone and call me). Then he wanted me to drive to the next state over to deliver some wheels at lunchtime on a weekday. I just post in my thread no texts simply because of that guy.

Mine from a couple years back is my avatar. <----

The truck looks great. Are you wheels painted or powder coated or what? Definitely unique; I like em.

I'm swapping the doors too from the XJ. There are a couple people on here that have and there are a couple write-ups as well. It will be one of the later things I do cause the XJ is still out in the driveway. -
These cant be original...

Work continues on the firewall patches. Hopefully I'll have some progress to report on this week. In the mean time, here is some eye candy: (Dexter couldn't help but put his nose on it) -
What Manual Transmission is in my 90??
Rymanrph replied to ComancheKid45's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
My 90 was built in 89 and it has (had) the AX-15. -
I must be getting old because I'm getting worse at reading shorthand every day. Wait, that run-on sentence doesn't make any sense. :???: Just messing with you :wavey: Back on topic. The blue looks good; I'm thinking of painting mine some shade of blue.

1990 Rebirth ('97 Conversion)
Rymanrph replied to Rymanrph's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
I got my first firewall patch done. This is what the hole looked like after i cut it out: And here it is with the patch in place: I may add a couple more rivets, but I'm going to seam seal the edges on both sides when I'm done. I think what I'll do for the steering column hole is this: Cut the general area out of the MJ, cut a large patch from the XJ. Then I'll slide the patch onto the steering column and bolt it up. Then I can mark exactly where it needs to go.
