  1. http://www.saferwholesale.com/150cc-Com ... 20cart.htm Who is with me? Looks like fun! They even spelled it correctly.
  2. Thanks mvusse, I will try a better filter. Pete, I don't have the old filter any longer. Two more questions; one related and one not. Would you replace filter now or could it wait until the next oil change? don't want to blow anything up. Secondly, while searching around the site today, I saw a couple pics of the 2.5L engine and noticed that some (most) of my vacuum hoses are connected wrong or not connected at all. I plan to replace them and run them correctly at some point. Question is what are the advantages to having it all correctly connected? What will the gains be (power, gas mileage, lower operating temp, etc.)? Also any good pictures of a stock 2.5L engine bay focusing on the vacuum hoses would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for all the great information available here.
  3. It did not do this before the oil change. Oil is 10w30. Is this the correct oil? It does read a little over full. I will drain and refill to correct level.
  4. 86-2.5L After running for awhile, the oil light in my truck has started coming on at stop signs or any time I am under about 15mph. Once it is under load again, the light goes away. My dash is the original dummy dash. New oil and filter. Oil level is good. Any ideas what is going on and how to fix it? Thanks.
  5. Put it to work. MIL car broke down (96 Geo Metro)...fuel pump went out. So BIL and myself go over to the next town to take a look at it. We ended up towing it to my house using my truck. I get the pleasure of replacing the fuel pump tomorrow. I also added a diamond plate toolbox to it.
  6. I ordered mine off their Ebay store. I think it said 1-5 days after they ship. Order has been paid and should ship today or tomorrow. Hoping I will have them by the weekend.
  7. Ordered my floorpans last night. Hopefully they will be in by the weekend and I can get to work putting this thing back together.
  8. Thanks for the info. I will probably be ordering in the next few days. Pictures would be great. Thanks
  9. Just wondering if any of you have ordered these and if so, what your thoughts on them are. I am looking to order floorpans within the next week so any direction you guys can give would be greatly appreciated.
  10. don't know yet. It is an automatic if that helps. Sorry as I said, I am new to jeeps. As my basketball season winds down in the next few weeks, I will learn more about my truck and have lots of new questions.
  11. Thanks Eagle. I don't expect to run with the big dogs, but right now it don't feel like it can get off the porch. I have replaced the plug wires, plugs, air filter, in-line fuel filter, and vavle cover. When I was taking out the original plugs, number 2 wasnt tight and number 4 was extremely tight. Today when I put in the new plugs, neither of these two will tighten down. Any of you ever use HeliCoil or do you have another solution? This is my first Jeep and I want to get it running right so I can start on the fun stuff like playing in the woods.
  12. Just picked up an 86 2 wheel-drive. It has the 2.5 in it. :fs1: My question is how much power should I expect from this engine? It does good on flat ground, will get up to speed and hold it there. However when I have to go up a hill, it loses speed and pulls like a tractor to get up it. Is this normal? If not, any suggestions on what my be causing this lack of power. Thanks in advance for any help. Pictures to follow as soon as I can figure it out.
  13. I understand Jeepco, but when we agreed that I would come look at it Friday because it was when he was off work, the last thing I said to him was "let me know if you sell it before then." I never once thought he would hold it for me but I did think that he would have the curtesy to let me know. The real complaint from me is when I texted him multiple times to get his address so I could go look at it, he didnt even respond. Simply reply that the truck is sold...The End...I had to use my wife's phone (different number) to even get a response from him. I too sell things on craigslist and you are 100% correct, cash is king. I sold my motorcycle on there a few months ago. Had a guy wanting to come see it, another guy got here first and bought it. As soon as the sale was complete, I called the other guy and told him bike was sold. He called me an a-hole but atleast I let him know. Anyway, back to huntin and hopin...
  14. I posted on here early last week about a comanche that I was interested in. Talked to the owner several times about it. We agreed that I would come and look at the truck on Friday. Well Friday rolls around and owner won't return my texts...try again several times over the weekend...nothing...Finally a few minutes ago, I used my wife's phone, texted owner "Do you still have the jeep comanche for sale off of craigslist, if so please send me pics."He immediatly texts back with "No. I sold it." Congrats that you sold it but atleast have the courtesy to let me know. Aw Well, i guess I am ack to huntin and hopin....
