  1. What color blue is that? It looks great.
  2. Here's my TJ. It's a 2000 with just over 100k miles. Front 30, rear 44, 2.5 OME lift with 1.25" body lift, rock hard sport cage, 33x12.50s and some other little stuff. This is a pic after I washed it the other day:
  3. I have Iggee seat covers in my wrangler and I absolutely love them. I'd buy a pair for the comanche if they made them. The vinyl is much easier to clean and I think I'd have a hard time finding a cloth I'd be happy with. I'm not worried about finding covers cause I'm just going to have the upholsterer make me new covers for the seats. Vinyl is kinda hot in the summer, but if I'm happy with it in my TJ, then I'm sure I'll be fine with it in the MJ. I got a sample piece today, but I'll have to wait on the price estimate.
  4. These are JY seats; actually this is like my 2nd or third set. I keep robbing different ones for different parts. My last set cleaned up really well, but they were 4 dr. XJ seats. I found these 2 dr. seats on my last trip. The upholstery shop I'm trying has been around for quite some time. He recovered my headliner and visors for a fair price, so I'm hoping it won't be too pricey.
  5. I got the passenger seat pretty much done and in the truck, but now I want to have it recovered. The driver seat is a little torn, so it will need to be repaired or recovered anyway. Any suggestions on fabric or colors? Here's a shot of the seat and one of the subs from my car that I'd like to squeeze in if at all possible. You can also see my newly dyed console just sitting loose. I also got my fog lights mocked up. I still need to wire them, but I got a stock fog light switch panel with the fog and defrost from an XJ. I'll probably use the defrost for spots on the roll bar eventually. My helper, Dexter, in the corner is ready for me to finish this truck so I can spend more play time with him.
  6. I'm thinking about having my seats recovered since I'm redoing my whole interior. I was originally thinking about doing all vinyl since its easier to clean. I just put a new headliner in (light gray) and I can't look at it funny without it getting dirty. Anybody have any suggestions/recommendations? Vinyl, canvas, cloth, leather? I'm thinking solid dark gray or dark gray with a lighter gray insert. It all depends on what the upholster guys says it will cost. Here is the interior now with out the bucket seats:
  7. I went by the upholstery shop to see about having a tear fixed. Now I'm thinking about having both buckets recovered. I'll have to go back when the main guy is there; I hope its not too outrageous cause I'd really like to have some nice dark gray vinyl buckets to match my new carpet.
  8. Sorry. I was just saying that I had one in my garage, so they do exist. I didn't actually think he'd be interested in buying one from across the country. PM sent.
  9. My first Jeep was a '91 YJ 4.0. Aside from the PO not maintaining it, I didn't have many issues with it. When I sold it (I got $7,300 for it a couple years ago - crazy huh?), I convinced my brother to buy one. He's had several issues with it, but most were not the Jeep's fault.
  10. I've got one sitting in my garage right now. I have no idea what it would cost to ship.
  11. And people think I'm crazy for having more than just liability insurance on my MJ. Good luck rebuilding or whatever you do with it.
  12. I've got the interior mostly back together. There are still a lot of little things left to do (plugs, covers, couple bolts here and there, dome lights, etc.). I'm not putting the console back in until I get the transmission and transfer case back in. I haven't done anything to clean up the rear panel yet cause I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it carpet and clean it, or recover it. The window cranks need to be cleaned and re-dyed. The door panels still look a little dingy in the pictures (I cleaned and dyed them though), so I'm not sure if that's just the light or not. I found a good color dye for the dash that I used on my console (dark gray), but I really don't feel like taking the dash apart right now, so that might be down the road some time. I need to clean up my new seats and swap those over, so that's my goal for this week. I've got fog lights to install and I want to get started on my subwoofer enclosure, but for now, here's my progress:
  13. So far I like them, but I've only put about 400 miles or so on them. I drove to TN to get my roll bar and then I pulled the transmission to finish up the swap. Still working on that. I've got a pilot bushing that doesn't want to budge. The tires were fairly quiet and seemed to perform pretty good in wet conditions. I'm anxious to get it back on the road.
  14. I've been busy. Here is the lined floor: And the roof: And the walls: Headliner and visors: And the carpet came today: My goal is to have the interior mostly back together this weekend.
  15. Well, neither Advance nor Autozone can even get them. Back to square one.
  16. I've got my Jeep on one: Any my puppy on the other (well technically, my Jeep is in this picture too):
  17. Stupid me. Sounds like a great idea.
  18. What color will it be when you're done?
  19. I was getting ready to order these lock cylinders for my '90 model MJ from Quadratec, but I saw that it only listed 1984 Cherokees and some CJs. http://www.quadratec.com/products/55014_101.htm Then I found a set at Team Cherokee that lists the correct years, but are more expensive (2nd one down). http://www.teamcherokee.com/Locks_and_Keys/index.html Are these the same parts? Or are the '84 XJ locks different than what I have in my Comanche? I'd like to save a couple bucks by getting them cheaper, plus I have something else I need to order from Quadratec, so I'd save on shipping.
  20. Do buckets take up more space than the bench?
  21. Made some more progress today. Got the seam sealer on: And then painted (added a little undercoating on the driver side too) Driver side: Passenger side: I'm getting ready to go on vacation, so I probably won't have any more updates till next week, but now that the floor is done, progress will be made pretty quickly. I know floor patching isn't that exciting, but any progress to me is awesome.
  22. The floor is finally done. Sorry, for the quality. It was about to storm on me. I've primed since these pictures and I'm hoping to get the seam sealer on it tonight. Once that dries, I'll paint and start working on my sound deadening. My carpet has been ordered and will be here soon.
  23. They're kinda deep. Kicker Comp VRs. I like the idea of only using one - makes sense to leave a little space left over.
  24. I'm not wanting to blow my windows out, but why spend money on a smaller sub and amp when I have these already?
