It depends on the 6 cyl if it is a 2.8 i would say yes based on the info that you have in you signature states that you have a 87 comanche which was the first year of the 4.0l six, the ax5 will not hold up to the 4.0l btw your on track thinking of obtaining both tranny & tc and there are differences. I do believe that the first year for the external setup of the slave cyl is 94 XJ (AX-15) the internal slave 87-92 MJ the puke joe tranny with tc is a 21 spline and the ax-15 with tc are 23 spline. I would check the local pic-n-pull and see what you can find there And i do know that some one else on this team can provide additional details. I went with the external slave setup. and good luck

i'd say get one of each and you won't have any regrets :brows: I would like to have another one but the wife will shoot me :rotfl2: for sure just had to get rid of the 89 cherokee which work had me going all over the east coast so i couldn't get the seats out of them :wall:

:rotfl2: :rotf: not a power house of a motor :ack: now if that was 92 with the same kinda miles they may have some interested folks. i'd drop kick the 2.8 and put a 3.4l to bad the wasn't a variant 3.4l 24v that could mate with a ax-15 and maybe the toyota 3.4l 24v would be the option. :dunno:

Summary roadside execution for thieves and drunk drivers. bill next of kin for corpse removal. You forgot billing them for the bullet as well...at least thats what they do in China. I like the electric chair my self and would volunteer for the position of lever man :brows: as the next criminal comes by i would sing the lyric " come on down and me your maker come on down a take a chair" and after that person is strapped in I'll give a few bumps and say testing testing 1 2 3 as if it was the microphone :rotfl2:  :rotfl2:

if you are looking to do this your self look at these dino's site, hesco and clifford should give you some ideas of what it would take :brows: then look at what the wolfpackjeeper provided as a rough list to go by and shop around your area to see what i cost to get some of that stuff done. for the price that your looking at there was a guy who has done a 4.5l stroker on the 4x4bc web site i think his name was bruce. and you may want to look at kits i got my from accurate power at the time they where selling them. what i did was do the research find out what it takes based on your budget. Good luck

Pete you don't think that a fire or the stuff that summerinmaine suggest would work I am more incline to think that the fire would work best especially if you can burn stuff in the open and the hot coals should draw the oils and burn that stuff up too. is the area big enough for a bonfire :brows:

I would see if the previous owner would consider assisting and helping you may want to mention about you where considering contacting EPA and let them handle and say hey i have found some stuff thanks to a friend " summerinmaine" that may work and do the job and they may be willing to keep from being fined another option is to check the local laws about fire and see if by burning that area up some would it clean it up  goodluck Pete

2wd Ba10/5 to 4wd AX15 Q's
ejndssn replied to CrankShaftKid's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I'll answer based on what i done 1. What will my new rear driveshaft length need to be if with a 4x4 ax15 and a dana 44 rear. :dunno: mine was already 4x4 2. Can I use my existing flywheel? yes i have used the same fly swaping from the puke jo to the AX-15 internal/external 3. Can I use my existing cylinder? i had issues :headpop: with the slave cylinder which i hope that your are referencing and i should have gotten one from the dealer :brows: that's why i went with the external setup just a bit easy 4. What am I looking at as far as wiring goes making the old stuff/new stuff work. that you have to be based on what year the ax-15 which i believe it a pre-94 and the swap year was 89 so the connection may be a bit different i got lucky :clapping: 5. Can I use the cherokee x-member and exisiting bolt holes on my MJ? i didnt have that problem... i hoping that you also got the tranny mount since there is a difference between the two i saw pic's some where on here. hope this helps some and good luck  I have also included in your project section so now it will be in two places Andy -
