  1. So when I pulled the engine out of my 91 MJ, I checked the date stamp and the casting numbers. Both says it's a 96 4.0.... I'm putting in a 1994 ax15 behind it before stuffing the powertrain into my 88 MJ. I know I need to get the 1988 flywheel for it. But I'm curious about the pilot bearing. Where does it go into? In the crankshaft of 96 motor Or into the flywheel? I can imagine that it being a 1988 flywheel and if the bushing goes in it, then I would need a CJ v8 bushing. Otherwise I ll need the different one if I'm putting it in the 96 crankshaft?
  2. Perfect description!!!! I wasn't sure when they went from the metal tab retaining the cable to the plastic clip. The 86 I had said USA..... IIRC, 84 to 86 clusters were made in the USA and after that made in Japan. i have a 84-86 style amc cluster and it says Japan on it your response doesn't show. Lol
  3. I most likely will do that (soldering the jumpers across the breaks). Don't know if this helps or not but the full cluster body came out of a 89 XJ and I'm hoping to use the 88 mj cluster body
  4. So I bought a renix full gauge cluster and it arrived broken (the lights on the left side). The flexible circuit board was torn in a couple places; breaking the circuits. Someone said that the renix cluster bodies are identical and I could just swap everything over to the original body from my MJ (the one with idiot lights). I would like to verify this. Is it true? Another question. Since the circuit board is broken, I could solder pieces of wires to jump over the breaks. But I'm wondering if the circuit board in the mj with idiot lights is also identical? I figure I could just re use it if possible. Any chance of that happening?

  9. Having the gas door on the passenger side is the most dumbest thing ever. It's so inconvenient to park, and walk all the way around the vehicle to fill the gas. It should always be on the drivers side on every single vehicle.
  10. you should have suggested that to me last weekend lol.
  11. How about pictures?
  12. I ll like to see them try that on me. Hint hint; I'm completely deaf. LOL
  13. ALL WJ grand Cherokee dana 44 have aluminum center housings.
  14. Please don't do it. That aluminum dana 44 axles are a joke. Get yourself a real dana 44 from a real jeep. WJ grand Cherokees belong to the scrap yard.
  15. You mean the lug with two stud holes on it? I can either get the specialty lug or you can just cut the old lug off and leave it on the PDC to act as a bridge between both lugs & bolt on the new cable on one of the studs.
  16. ax15 can bolt in but have to use your original bellhousing. Dakota bell housings won't work
  17. Oh hey it got cupholders!
  18. I hope not, but it could be a CYOA move on his part.pardon me but what's that? Lol
  19. If you are feeling a bit adventurous, you could try and find a NSG370
  20. I was just wondering if there's any difference in spring rates on the main leafs from standard and MT packs.
