  1. Why do I hate license plate frames with stealership advertisement on them. People tell me nightmare stories about their visit to the stealer and the first thing I do is look at the plate. Ha, what do I see. I guess its OK if you work there or its got the word jeep on it. Search the internet, some have the word JEEP (ebay), but WeatherTech had one called ClearFrame. Comes is a few different color. I going to order one. Hell they got one for 2000 dollars (titanium) not for me. I'm not here to sell products, I just hate stealership frames. Thank you, I feel better now.
  2. Either you have excess resistance on the sending unit side of the circuit or a faulty gauge.
  3. If I've learned anything on this site, is that grill upside down?
  4. Not sure if I can help on the HVAC. You got a vacuum leak somewhere. Start a new topic: H/C ventilation, defrost only. I'll assume all other HVAC works.
  5. Your running RENIX. When your H/C ventilation system fails, the default is defrost vents only. Fix your vacuum leaks, then see how it idles.
  6. CPS is common to both of your problems. Take the voltage (ac) measurement.
  7. Best I can do.
  8. For the last couple of days now the International Space Station (ISS) flies right over head of me. Pretty cool sight to see. Speed 17,500 mph. Takes about 3-4 minutes from horizon to horizon. That thing is a mov'in right along.
  9. Many names for reverse lamps/backup lamps/rear lamps/rear backup lamps. Many names for Gear Selector Switch/Neutral Safety Switch (NSS)/Backup Lamps Switch. Auto or Manual makes a difference for the switches.
  10. IAT would have been low on my list of things to check. Good find. Did it take care of your problem? What's Short term/Long term fuel trim values? May take a little time to stabilize these readings. As 87mjtim mentioned, do your cruiser's tips.
  11. Harbor Junk, great place for cheap gifts. HO HO HO. Check the battery in the meter.
  12. Make sure O2 sensor is switching and closed loop doesn't drop to open loop.
  13. I'd start with cruiser tip #8 (TPS ) Renix TPS Adjustment
  14. Don't forget your filters.
  15. Symptom based selection (ex: No Crank) that would allow any user to select a symptom. After entering YR & ENG, user would then be directed towards all threads that pertain to that symptom, but only those threads that solved a problem. This would be different then tags or filter. Kind of like the flow charts talked about earlier on this forum. Same could be applied for certain projects or 'what if' questions.
  16. Nothing to do with lock/securing a trailer, but remove the trailer plate when not needed. If anything does go wrong, maybe a LEO might find this suspicious enough to investigate.
  17. About a year ago DTA posted this picture of the shroud for the exhaust manifold. If you don't have this part then your "thermostatic" air filter won't work properly.
  18. Are you looking for internet connections or using these computers as work stations for the purpose of learning? Windows XP has no security when connected to the internet, as mentioned by Dzimm. I still have XP and yes I'm connected to the internet. Very slow at times and yes no security. But if you looking for work stations (no internet) XP will serve you just fine, for a long time. Window products such as Excel, Word, Powerpoint and many other tools are difficult to learn and work stations can help with this learning. No need for the internet.

The gears of industry turn very slow and never turn backwards, give them time young man. I'll also add, it helps to be a family in-law.
  21. I'm a big Justin Verlander fan. He done good with our losing Tigers. Would like to see him finally get a WS ring. Hope he helps the Astros go all the way. I think he'll pitch game 6 in LA. EDIT: My brother lives in LA. He might not think the same way I do.
  22. Check your P/N circuit for path to gnd (auto). No gnd no starter.
  23. What you say is true. FSMs do contain flow charts used for troubleshooting, but your FSMs are not updated with TSBs, special bulletins, full size replacement sticky pages w/corrections or 30+ years of experience.
