  1. Any idea on the extended/collapsed length of these Cruiser? I stumbled into a set of AEV dualsport Bilstein 5100s for dirt cheap and I'm thinking they just might work when I lift my truck.
  2. This sounds EXACTLY like the problem I had. If you can't get it to replicate, attach the leads like I suggested, tape the multimeter to the hood and go for a drive. It shouldn't dip below 5VDC ever...if it does when it's bucking, I'd look real hard at that solder joint and the wiring coming from the ECU to the IAC and TPS.
  3. Hey, HEY NOW!!!! I've been busy guys....and mostly separated from my MJ for the past almost 2 years. Focusing on my other project since I'm on assignment in Georgia (Pete, I'm in Snellville every weekend until August, fyi). This is my response to HC's message if I ever fixed my problem: I absolutely did. I had a bad solder joint in the wiring harness. The CPU sends a 5VDC signal to both the TPS and the IAC from the same wire which splits right above the valve cover in the main harness loom. You can test this pretty easily with a decent multimeter and a piercing probe (link below). Figure out which wire is +5VDC from your computer to each of those sensors (I had +5V DC on each one as long as it was unplugged). Key on should be able to find this. Next, hook the piercing probe to the wire (should still get +5VDC). Hook the connector back up to the sensor and start the engine. Check voltage (rev the motor a bit too just to see if there's any change). Do the same for the other sensor. If the voltage drops below maybe 4.96VDC on either one you likely have a problem. Mine dropped to 1.77VDC with the engine running but if I unplugged one of the sensors it jumped back up to 5VDC. You should also check the voltage coming from the ECU to make sure that it is +5VDC.....I want to say it's pin 26 but that's going strictly off memory and it's been a few years since I had any issues with this. I'd offer a wiring diagram to help but my books are all with my Jeep in Louisiana and I'm in Georgia on a project at the moment. Seriously, once I saw the voltage drop it took me 15 minutes to trace out where the two wires came together, unwrap, resolder, and tidy everything back up. I had thrown probably $700 in sensors, fuel injectors, etc in it at that point. Talk about a dumb, easy fix. Hope this helps, if you have more questions, hit me up. My MJ is separated from me at the moment but I'll tell ya what I can from memory! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07R8XJWKX/ref=sspa_dk_detail_1?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B07R8XJWKX&pd_rd_w=9T9KT&pf_rd_p=48d372c1-f7e1-4b8b-9d02-4bd86f5158c5&pd_rd_wg=JMSa3&pf_rd_r=TMCHKQMPDWJCZYVG70KJ&pd_rd_r=e6166fb5-859d-4621-91ba-9ae9c33a2823&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzMU1NRldTUEw2TllWJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNjc1ODE1UVk2NEtBNVVXRDU4JmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTAwNDc5NDMxMkhMSFI4S1c1VjEyJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfZGV0YWlsJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==
  4. Possible. I have an H.O. and only have one bottle in my bumper.
  5. Basically exactly where you found it. The cruise control won't operate without it properly.
  6. 😳 that's it? Jeez, for that price I can't believe I've been putting it off.
  7. Curious what it runs ya for the windshield. I need a new one but have been putting it off for a while.
  8. Driver, other than your speedo being backwards I like that setup. Do you have a little more info on it?

  10. Don't have much experience with the cold but in the heat down here I always check rubber (tires, hoses, and belts), fluids (my 4.0 only leaks a tiny bit of oil), and that's really about it. I carry a mechanic's toolset on me as well as a spare tire and a jack (both original items are missing). If it's a daily driver, you probably know best what, if any, issues you have. Get 'em fixed now if you have 'em (weak brakes, worn clutch, engine knocks/ticks, worn bearings, steering slop, and other big ticket items we tend to put off). My $.02
  11. I went to update my signature and I'm not able to save it without deleting my fuelly.com badge which shows my fuel consumption. It was there until I tried to change it. Is there anyway to get the tag back? Here's the image I had before:
  12. I've got a '92 LWB that I'll volunteer. I can probably install one weekend this month.
  13. the website translates mpg to kpl automatically [emoji16] Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  14. Personally I like the Detroit locker. Got one on my Chevy K30 and just picked one up for my D44 on the MJ. Haven't used a lunchbox locker in the rear, have heard conflicting things about driveability. I would however suggest a Spartan over an Aussie if you do go that way. They're a little heavier built and as cheap as $250 new. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  15. I meant for mpg differences. I know he's been pretty good at calculating hp/tq numbers overt the years [emoji4] Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  16. Yah, but I'm too lazy to remember how to do that. So I use this app.... it's dead simple. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  17. Yeah I saw you and minute up there.... damn y'all must have had leaks in your gas tanks back then, huh? [emoji38] Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  18. "The only known truck in this paint scheme...." 🤣🤣🤣 Damn, if it wasn't for huck with his 21mpg average you and gogo woulda had the worst mpg by year. Would you mind throwing your next a few tanks up there? If its different now because the truck is healthier, I think it would be good to see. P.S. use the app "fuelly fuel up" to text it in, much easier than the website Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  19. I use gas buddy to find cheap gas, didn't know they tracked mileage as well. Can you search other vehicles similar to fuelly, or is it just for yourself? Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  20. I use an app called "fuelly fuel up" that texts in the info. So basically, as soon as I'm done at the pump, I log it. No more saving receipts. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  21. If you can, track all the mods in excel or something. I'm curious as to what, if any, effect they will have. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  22. Yeah, it can but you can't stop or you'll stall the engine. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  23. I've got a set of 4.10 for my Dana 44 and a Detroit locker. Now just waiting to find a deal on a carrier for my D30 up front. I would think with the higher gear ratio I would lose mpg, not gain them. It's not like the motor lugs about currently during daily driving. Hornbrod: Earlier I was referring to my truck being similar to Crash's. Both 4.0 (renix vs HO), very similar setups apart from the gearing. Yet he's seen 28mpg when I've only seen 19.5 once.... going downhill. I know you're a whole different animal with the stroker and auto plus gearing differences. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  24. 100% advise against it. I had hell getting mine to bleed/act right after the swap. After 2 weeks of fooling with it after work, I just bought the '94 slave/master pre-bled combo. Not that much more expensive and much easier to do. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  25. On another thread some questions are being asked about fuel mileage differences. Does anyone else here track every tank of fuel with fuelly or another app/website? Fuelly.com has 32 Jeep Comanches on it, there have to be some of y'all here too. http://www.fuelly.com/car/jeep/comanche My 92 has a 7-8% error because of my tires. I'm seeing right at 17.6 mpg according to my GPS, you can see in my fuel log last year in June when I changed tires it dropped from 18s to 16s. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
