Overlanding Rooftop Tent
Dirteatr717 replied to 89JeepMJ's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I was thinking of doing something like this too except on my cap  I would also like to see some pics! -
I have a connection with a driveshaft shop so I'll get a new one for cheap an I'm eventually locking the front and I'm still a little confused about the whole vacuum disconnect thing and making it a one piece shaft, I'll have to read up on it more or see it in person! I just can't wait to drive it around without worrying about anything and without doors :D
-
Got some moredone today! Got my teraflex bar pin eliminators in, welded the crossmember on, extended the vacuum hose for the disconnect and relocated the brakelines upfront... All in all it's almost ready for the road again! My front shaft is so far out of the yoke, so I needa figure that out and I Need tires and a driver side floor :(

Made some progress yesterday, got all the old stuff out and started putting in the new crossmember but the tranny mount holes are non existent so I had to drill 4 holes and holesaw 4 on one side to make the bolts socket accessible, got that bolted up and just threw an arm in so I can see what it'll look like! All the good new stuff Stupid shortarms! And I'm going to Remount the brakelines down lower and straighten out the bends for another couple of inches until I can get some realllll extended ones Can't wait to drive it again

Find a third gen Camaro or something, I picked mine up for 1k and it had a 9" rear already :P

That's a pretty cool idea! If you get it working good mind letting us know where to get the stuff to do it :brows:

I have a set of Clayton ylink longarms sitting on my bedroom floor, I bought them because of the cross member and where the arms mount on the crossmember, you can take the tranny out without having to take the arms and skidplate off like the TNT LA and with Claytons it gives you the ability to build a skidplate to how you want it, just google pictures of different kits and read about them on other jeep forums as well... Good luck with whatever ones you choose

Congratulations to thee man! Love the new paint too, hopefully one day I'll be able to meet some of you other comanche nutjobs! -
Here's with 2" budget boost and worn 33s And here's with adj upper and lower arms with about 6.25" of lift, it droops pretty good for shortarms! Whenever I get my longarms bolted up I'll repost a pic of me flexing on a Prius or something!

Why is there a transfer case on the seat!!! :shake: Nice truck, just have to tighten up that track bar to pull the front axle more driver side and you have a ac pump... There is a fuse box picture somewhere on here I believe in the DIY section? Good luck with it dude!- 146 replies

Dirteatr717 replied to lostissues's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
