Towing with a lifted rig?
Dirteatr717 replied to lifted_xj's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
When I do tow it's a datsun pickup bed trailer with dirtbikes in it, don't really feel it. And since I'm on a flat island I don't really have to worry about hills :D although a re-gear would be nice! -
5 cylinder Comanche
Dirteatr717 replied to Worlds Fastest Comanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
That's odd :D ! I've driven my friends colorado before and got around 18 mpgs on a 3 hour drive. My truck with the 4.0,ax15, 33s and 3.07s gets between 16-20 depending on how heavy my foot is, its nice to have another motor to be able to swap in but I'll stick with a motor I like and know :smart: -
Welcome to the club :waving: yet another clean truck! not too fond of the colors but still very clean!

Welcome to the club :waving: ! nice score, youll be glad to have the shortbed. Theyre better :D

the only thing I don't like about the rc upgrade is the tranny bolt heads stick out and you have to drop the arms and skid to drop the tranny and TC. otherwise ive heard that everyone has goodluck with them and mnkyboy, the chances of the joints at the crossmember end are far less likely to fail and if one on the axle end fails you still have one link upper link attached regardless, itd be easier to get yourself out of a sticky situation with 3 links still attached rather than 2

I have the Clayton Longarm upgrade, its a Ylink setup and works great for offroading on the weekends and drives awesome on road. I don't like the idea of a 3-link because if something happened to the upper control arm on a trail or driving around town, your screwed. I havent heard or felt any binding with my longarms and have done plenty of hillclimbs and not had any "pre-loading" . Just my 2 cents

full width dana 60 swap?
Dirteatr717 replied to CTswampyankee's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I'd checkout some build threads on pirate4x4, there's plenty of places to get mounts and all that jazz too, such as bluetorch fab, poison spyder, currie has some stuff. Goodluck with your axles! -
Those are YJ lines and I even straightened out the hardline ;)

HOLY! I think you need another door panel  how does your wife feel about your "problem" ? Hahah
-
Could this be because of a leaky injector? That's the only thing I can think of

Hey guys my sister got a 91 YJ for Christmas with the 2.5 5spd, it only has 120k but we changed the oil last week and it smelt like it had gas in it, just checked this morning and it smells like gas again?? Any ideas?

Lovin the project! I've had my eye on my friends cb750 for some time now, I always nag him to give it a good home, aka my garage! I have a ghia at my other house, well half of one :brows: my Dads ghia and the Manche!

theyre fine hahah  :peek:

Yours is definitely worse up front but I think my whole b pillar and roofline are pushed in. The first point of contact was the a pillar and that is dented up ad cracked the windshield then I guess after bouncing off it hit the b pillar... I slid into a ditch on an angle and slid against a tree on the driver side then hit another tree dead center up front... :fs1:

Thanks for the advice Rob and the kind words Brett! I'm going to trailer it home sometime within the next week and start gathering parts, my Dad said we might not even go through insurance so I have no idea whats going to happen, all I know is that I miss driving it already and it will be fixed no matter what !!!!
