  1. I'm in a Facebook group for all of Long Island NY, its called Long Island Jeeps and instead of dealing with people not answering emails and phones, people answer very quickly and if not theres usually a friend of the poster who knows a little about it if they don't respond within a day or so, its been working very well and alot more people are meeting each other and making meet and greets and what not. That and having a few friends who are also searching for similar parts as me, we can always count on each other to find something one way or another
  2. looks awesome! I'm def diggin the recessed winch and coilovers, Can you post a couple pics of how you braced the inner fender and c/o angles Thanks -Nick
  3. I was thinking that or make one myself, out of larger diameter hard brakeline. Ill most likely call a few more places in the morning and try to get one, if not ill find out how long the shipping is from rockauto. My truck is my daily driver and my only other option is my bicycle  Thanks for the help guys :wavey:
  4. Thanks comanchekid! Called up the nearest napa and they don't have any in stock but I'll try a couple other no name stores before I order it online
  5. Just got home from work and checked everything over and had my little brother push the clutch pedal down for me, since everything was soaked down there with brake fluid when i got home I didn't Even think to check the line, it blew at the backside of the bend on the rubber part  I've called advanced auto, carquest and autozone. None of them carry it, would a dealer have it or should I goto a hydraulic hose place and see if they can make me one?
  6. just trying to get a definite answer before ripping the tranny out :wall:I know the I won't find out for sure until I have it all apart. wheres a good place to get an oem one, from the stealership?
  7. Ever try letting air of the tires? its free and it lets the tires float across the sand rather than churning it, also just slap it in 4wd itll put less stress on everything and your truck will run cooler and you won't have to add electric fans and spend money on parts you may not need.... I goto the beach at least 2 times a week in the summer, of course its not 100+ degress here but it does stay over 85 for most of the summer and my truck doesnt get too hot.
  8. Where's the build thread!? Good to see ANOTHER long islander! If you need a hand I'm also doing the 2wd-4wd swap in my friends manche -Nick :wavey:
  9. Was on my way back from the hardware store and stopped at a stop sign only to have my clutch pedal go straight to the floor and I stalled, so I started it in gear and rev matched the gears for the remainder of the way home :fs1: It's leaking brake fluid between the motor and the bellhousing and between the bellhousing and the tranny... Sound like a bad slave? :help: -nick
  10. It'd be over 20 hours of driving for me too  that's alot of gas monies!
  11. Put the new tie rod ends in, got the alignment nearly perfect, painted my grill and headlight bezels. Did my sisters YJ brakes with my dad and just hungout with him all day, I felt like I haven't really hungout with him in months! Was a good day on all parts, I find that punny :wrench: 8)
  12. Since my bench seat brackets have started to disintegrate and I couldn't bolt the seat down anymore and had a rocking chair effect while driving I decided to take it out today and bend up a little bracket and weld it on, came out mint! I also ordered a new pro comp steering stabilizer since the one that's on my truck is probably older then me :rotf: Forgot to take before pics but you can see the inner mount is completely gone :fs1:
  13. I'm Going march 30th-april 1st, most likely NAC- fest June 21-24 and maybe again in september or October
  14. Same! Never met anyone on here before and I'm sure we could find a destination for a meeting place thats in the middle for everyone! I'll be coming from the middle of long island NY
  15. Nobody else is interested in going?!

  20. Drove around doorless today and took this 8) to think I'll be snowboarding this Sunday and it was 70 out yesterday
  21. Pics of highlift jack mounts, they're rear bumper brackets off a XJ and I'm Gunna mount it in the bed over a fenderwell, also got a pic of the mirrors :wrench: I did have to cut the plastic a little more on the driver side because when I side swiped the tree it bent the inside of the door where the mirror mounts too, but they're fine now 8)
  22. From disney land
  23. I know it's kind of short notice but I figured I'd post this here instead of in the northeast section which seems like nobody has ever clicked on Taking a trip to Rausch Creek offroad park in Pennsylvannia the 30th of this month to April 1st, I'll be there with around 10-15 people running some of the easier trails and maybe some challenging stuff if all goes well, I'll be camping with a few Friends and breaking in my new tent and camping gear. All are welcome just throwing out some last minute invites :waving: -Nick
  24. I'm doing it, the on road ride quality sucks with shortarms at all lift heights and I'm more than pleased with the on road ride and off road capability... I'm eventually moving up to 37s on wonton axles but for now 33s will just have to do 8)
